Redwood Cottage

Enjoy a relaxing get-away at our newly remodeled Redwood Cottage. The cottage is a 1100 sq foot, 2 bedroom home tucked away on a beautiful wooded lot. A perfect combination of close - just a couple of miles from the ferry, and a short drive to Langley, yet you will feel like you are miles away for everything once you are here. Redwood Cottage is located in the Deer Lake community. Our beautiful, wooded property has a large yard that is fully fenced with lots of room for kids and your dog! It is quite private, with tall trees, garden and deck space as well. It sits on a dead end dirt road, so very quiet and secluded. The cottage is perfect for families with kids. The surprisingly spacious kitchen with granite counter tops and all the supplies you need, will help motivate you to enjoy some delicious home cooked meals. It is open to the main living space, so easy to feel part of the group even if you are the chef! Or visit any of our many high quality restaurants only a short drive away. Both bedrooms are upstairs - the larger room has a king bed and TV. The smaller room is off the hallway (so no door to close, but around the corner so still has some privacy) and has a bunk bed with double size bed on the bottom and twin up top. The bathroom is shared by both bedrooms and is bright and offers a large shower. There is also a 1/2 bath with washer and dryer on the main floor. Shopping, eating, wine tasting, hiking, biking, parks, water fun etc. is all close by! Shopping and dining opportunities can be found in nearby Langley and Freeland. At the center of the island and the oldest town in Washington State, Coupeville is another local treasure to enjoy. A great home base for fun locally, Whidbey Island is also in close enough proximity to Seattle, Port Townsend, Anacortes, and the San Juan Islands for an enjoyable day trip. For evening entertainment, we have a small town theater that runs current movies right in Langley, as well as various live theater options. From arts, farmers markets, music, and seasonal events such as winery, farm and art tours, to apple pressing, parades, welcoming the whales, etc. there is often many more activities happening around here than one can possibly partake in!
