Come to Newland, NC, the highest county seat east of the Mississippi! A small town centrally located for you to take advantage of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen that includes an updated smooth top range, spacious living area, and comfortable queen sized bed and double size sofa bed for a quick weekend getaway or week long relaxing stay. Enjoy paved parking with no steps to navigate with luggage. You can relax on the deck or swing in the hammock while appreciating the cool mountain air that allows you to enjoy the outdoor space. Bring a light jacket for when the sun goes down! While you should be comfortable with just the windows open most of the time, we have added a window air conditioner to help if the afternoons heat up. There is zoned electric heat and a gas fireplace to keep you toasty warm. The apartment has been recently updated and is attached to our personal garage. All doors are 36" wide and the bathroom has extra space for wheelchair/walker access. You will find a strong wifi signal along with USB outlets bedside to help with charging devices. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with a new refrigerator and smooth top range. There is a Roku TV with a Hulu subscription for the apartment plus you can access other internet services through your personal accounts. We recently added a Weber charcoal grill to the deck to showcase your outdoor cooking skills! The entire apartment, deck area, yard and grounds. We offer self check in, but are usually on the premises to answer any questions. You are within walking distance of several locally owned restaurants, a mile long riverwalk, the town square, several churches, and the county library. Grandfather Mountain, Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian Trail, Linville Falls National Park, Elk Falls and many other scenic areas are within 15-30 minute drive. Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain ski slopes are also close at hand. Take a day trip to historic Boone and Blowing Rock and shop at Tanger Outlets and Mast General Store. Trails are nearby for any level of experience from novice to expert. Well behaved pets are welcome but we ask that no more than two pets are brought. We have discovered that cleaning the apartment according to Airbnb protocols after hosting guests with animals normally doubles our cleaning time. We reserve the right to ask for an additional $50 pet fee through the Mediation Center.
