This house is made entirely of old growth Pine, with early parts of the house built in 1859, when Martin Bruce who was from the Wisconsin Territory, partnered with William Ollinger to form a drydock business to refurbish schooners coming in from all parts of the world to load up with old growth trees. It is very quiet and private, surrounded by almost 300 degrees of nature and water on a peninsula with the Blackwater Bay to the south and the river to the west.
