Located in the heart of Mexican Town and near Corktown and downtown Detroit, this historic house from 1896 has been completely rehabbed. Sitting on two lots, this house has a large side deck and plenty of outdoor yard space. It is perfect for a couple. Professionally cleaned after each stay. Minorities & LGBTQ friendly. No pets are allowed. The following uses will NOT be permitted (no inquires pls): group events, house parties & commercial use. The open concept with its high ceilings gives this home a breezy, light and happy feel. A high quality induction stove and kitchen cookware will satisfy guests who want to prepare their own meals. Spacious bathroom has a shower head over an old-fashioned clawfoot tub. Access to the main house, minus one back-room (my walk-in closet), plus large yard. I will be available for any questions or issues that need addressing during your stay. Historic Southwest Detroit has some of the best food - Mexican of course - in the city, and is conveniently located minutes away by car from downtown Detroit, historic Corktown and other key landmarks in central Detroit. Clark Park is a block away. Drive and park in front of my house. There are also citi bikes for rent on Vernor by Clark park a 5 min walk away. Please don't take security for granted. While this neighborhood is residential and generally safe, like many neighborhoods in Detroit, home break-ins happen when people aren't careful. Please always remember to lock the house (both doors) before you leave. And if you're staying out late, do leave a light on. Definitely leave both porch lights on at all times. There is an empty house in the process of a slow rehab to the left of my house. The owner is working on it slowly and you may see a construction crew now and then.
