The Wilburton features grand indoor and outdoor dining and entertaining spaces, including the Billiard Room bar, solarium dining room, oversized living room With a piano, massive fireplace and pull down movie screen and a commercial kitchen. Please note, there is an additional facility fee for all weddings and special events. The Wilburton can host events for up to 75 guests November - April. From May - October 2021, we can host events for up to 200 in our marble pavilion tent for an additional fee. The marble pavilion tent is not included in the rental. Entertaining spaces include: The Green Mountain Solarium Dining Room, The Rose Dining Room, The Grand Salon with a piano, massive carved fireplace, pull down movie screen and coffered ceiling, the Library and the Children’s Game Room. Outdoor spaces include the covered portico with wicker rockers and the awning covered terrace and marble overlook patio. The Wilburton was built for a Chicago Railroad Baron in 1902 and was the largest private estate in Manchester. RKO Pictures owned it for 20 years as an exclusive getaway for movie stars and executives. Our family has run it as a vibrant country inn for over 30 years. You have total privacy in The WIlburton mansion, awned terrace and back lawn. There are 5 other smaller vacation homes on the 30-acre resort which you can add if you’d like to host more guests. (These vacation homes are also listed on Airbnb and The Wilburton Inn website.) Please note: there are additional fees for ALL SPECIAL EVENTS and use of the Marble Pavillion tent. The Wilburton can host catered events for up to 200 guests. For an additional fee, our chef and housekeepers can be added to pamper you. The resort features an outdoor pool and tennis court which are shared with other vacation home guests. Every group has scheduled hours for exclusive use. (Wilburton Mansion guests get preference on their times.) The resort also includes a basketball hoop, volleyball net, and tetherball, ping pong, hammock and lawn games. There is plenty of space for every group to have privacy. While we love dogs, the Wilburton Mansion is NOT dog friendly. If you would like to add dog friendly or ground floor accommodations, we offer additional private guest rooms with en suite baths in our nearby Maxwell Suites on the estate.
