DO NOT SEND A REQUEST! - PLEASE READ ENTIRE LISTING DETAILS AND SEND *INQUIRY* WITH YOUR DETAILS - DO NOT SEND A *REQUEST* - This is a special house and it is a home; we are particular about guests and events being respectful and appreciative, so please do not inquire or book if you cannot treat it as such. - DURING COVID, WE ARE CONSIDERING EACH INQUIRY ONE BY ONE AND LIMITING BOOKINGS; PLEASE BE SPECIFIC AND DETAILED ABOUT YOUR INQUIRY - This is a 10 bedroom house with a large 1st floor and a wrap around porch with terrific outdoor seating and dining, and a basement lounge with pool table and bar. - All 4 guest bedrooms and 2 full baths are on the 3rd floor with a sitting area. 6 Beds: 1 King, 1 Queen, 2 twins, 2 twins + 1 pullout couch, 1 queen air mattress, 1 single mattress for kids. - 5th bedroom is available on 2FL for an additional $100/night, but is not always available. - Events are considered as any gathering of >2 non-overnight guests and require pre-approval and an event fee that depends on headcount, car count, use of spaces, type of event, etc. Event fees are several hundred to several thousand dollars typically. SEE EVENT QUESTIONS. - Any photo or film shoot for professional or amateur use requires pre-approval by host. Insurance is usually required. - No pets means NO PETS! You may request an exception for a small pet with a pet fee but must have written pre-approval by host. Kitchen, Family Room, Living Room, Dining Room, Basement Lounge, Billiard Room, Porch, Yard, in addition to the 3FL bedrooms and bathrooms. A house assistant will stay on the 2FL to support your stay because this is a large and complex house. You will have the utmost of privacy during your stay. **Having no onsite assistant is not an option. **There are never any other guests during a stay. You are the only group here. Occasionally, a date is unavailable unless the guest agrees to share with owners; this will be made clear in advance. "Montview" is a historic home built in 1880 and recently renovated to modern standards, The charm remains, alongside the comforts of a contemporary home. The house is iconic for its architecture, setting and place in Short Hills history. Short Hills is a premier suburb of NYC and centrally located in NJ. Proximity and ease to NYC is why many people live and stay here. NJ weddings, baby showers, and family reunions are also popular reasons for staying with us. Top rated luxury Short Hills Mall is a 5 minute drive. Factory outlet malls -Woodbury Commons is 50 minutes drive and Jersey Gardens is 15 minutes drive. Metlife Stadium is 25 minutes. Direct train to NYC Penn Station is 5 minute walk and takes 40-55 minutes. Uber/Lyft to NYC is ~$50; Uber/Lyft from NYC is ~$80. Newark Airport is 20 minute drive or ~$20 Uber/Lyft ride. P.S. We encourage using Lyft not Uber ;) The primary guest (whoever booked via Airbnb) staying at Montview is required to send a copy of their picture ID prior to arrival. All other guests can give a copy of their picture ID beforehand or upon arrival. Check-in time must be agreed in advance for 1 hour window. Our standard check in time is 3PM. Check-out time is by 9 AM, please inquire if you need a later check-out. Cleaning fees cover laundry, deep cleaning of entire house and sanitization. **Please send us an inquiry and Contact Host if you are interested in our home so we can discuss your stay before you send a request to book.** IF YOU ARE PLANNING AN EVENT- please answer the questions below in your initial inquiry to us. 1.
