Welcome to Millinocket - an island in the woods! This very clean, spacious 3 person apartment is in a commercial district along Central Ave. Walk or bike to a local pond and park, bars and restaurants or drive to Baxter State Park or the Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument or the Penobscot River Trails. It's a perfect oasis for a visit to the region which offers hiking, boating, swimming mountain biking and more! This is a 2nd floor 1 BR with open concept full kitchen/dining/LR. The space is very clean, the cathedral ceilings in the LR/DR/KI add to the spaciousness. The location is terrific, close to all the amenities in town but set back from Central Ave. which makes it quieter, though occasional large trucks do travel through at a distance. This is a one BR, it's ideal for a couple or a couple plus one adult or two children. The full sized futon in the LR converts to a sleeper. When you arrive at the building, follow the driveway to the back side of the building. Take the stairs to the second floor, it's the first door at the top of the stairs. You will be able to access the entire apartment. We do have a lockbox on the deck and will provide the code ahead of your visit. There is a generous backyard available for your use, including a wooden glider, a picnic table and areas to set up outdoor games. The yard extends beyond the birch trees to the south and a large grassed area to the east. We are occasionally available in person but guests need to plan to be self-sufficient. This is a commercial neighborhood, though we do ask guests to be respectful, we have other renters in the building and renters who live adjacent who work weekdays. Quiet after 10 pm please. There is plenty of parking that is shared among the 8 commercial and residential tenants. Walk-able to the grocery store, hardware store, a few restaurants and bars. Public transportation isn't available in Millinocket, though there are plenty of biking, hiking, boating and swimming options. Best to bring a bike rack to drive to some of the best off road trails. Before being tested, please find out from your requesting institution if the NAAT result is acceptable, especially if you are testing for foreign travel or other official reasons. The FDA approved EUA, RT-PCR (Emergency Use Authorization, Real Time-Polymerase Chain Reaction) test result is accepted by every institution and government. PLEASE NOTE: Due to high demand, drive-thru rapid result NAAT tests that produce results within half an hour may be scheduled out for several weeks. Drive-thru PCR tests, available with a provider’s order/referral, provide results within one to three business days.
