Still plenty of winter left, but it's never too early to look ahead to spring and summer in the Catskills! The fire pit. The fireflies. The peace and quiet. The Catskills are truly a special place. During winter visits, our half-mile private road can be challenging, and 4WD is HIGHLY recommended. We want your visit to a great experience and the ability to travel our private road will go a long way towards your enjoyment. Thank you. Studio 502 is a separate space, above a garage - built in 2016. It is very comfortable and private. The open floor plan features a full-size bed, plus a comfy daybed. The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, small convection oven, 2-burner convection cooktop, coffeemaker and toaster. Plates, utensils, condiments, etc., provided. Sunny exposure and mountain views complete the picture. Built in the Craftsman style, the studio has a warm vibe and will offer instant relaxation. The studio has proven to be very comfortable for a pair of long-term renters. If you don't feel like cooking, several area restaurants are offering takeout service during the current shutdown. There's also a gas grill for prepping outdoor meals. Owners (both fully vaccinated) live on the same parcel (their house is about 100 feet away across the driveway) and can assist with any needs guests may have. If you want to be left alone, they will respect your wishes. If you would like recommendations for dining or shopping, they are pleased to offer ideas. When it's time to get out and enjoy Catskill Mountain recreation, there's GREAT skiing at Belleayre Mountain - just 11 miles. Plattekill Mtn. in Roxbury is less than 15 miles. Unlimited state and city-owned land to enjoy just minutes from the studio. If you're in the mood for an indoor workout, the Catskill Recreation Center in Arkville is a state-of-the-art swimming and workout facility with very reasonable day-use rates. Or, simply head out of the studio on foot and enjoy a pleasant walk in the woods or the stunning views afforded by a hike on the "Huckleberry Loop." Our mountainside fire pit area offers plenty of privacy and lovely sunset views. The perfect space to end a day in the Catskills. The perfect space to end a day in the Catskills. Or, if you prefer, "picnic rock" is just steps outside the studio and a perfect space to enjoy a meal or a beverage. There's a full-size bed and day bed. Cork floors throughout add the warmth of the space. Dimmable lights enhance the cozy atmosphere. Just steps outside your door, hundreds of acres of city-owned land and state hiking trails are waiting to be explored. Spectacular sunsets from the studio s top-floor location. As noted at the start, there is a half-mile private road to the destination and all-wheel-drive is ESSENTIAL for winter visits. Well worth the trip, though!
