1970s One level home where we converted part of the home into a large guest apartment with hall that has 2 other small rooms that include a new steam shower in laundry room with new washer and dryer and small separate half bath. The studio includes a queen size bed and a couch where 2 sides partially recline which could be used for children or teens to sleep. There is a table with 4 chairs and a small gourmet kitchen. The entrance is through your private entrance on your private deck. We have highest speed Century Link Wifi and you have a TV sharing our Dish TV Service with over 200 channels. The deck has privacy side curtains when you want to block out the view of our deck across the way. We travel quite a bit so there is a good chance that you will enjoy our small acreage to yourselves. Entrance to back yard is through driveway where you can pull up your vehicle between garages close to your entrance. Private sliding glass door from your private deck and large back yard giving you maximum privacy as we use the other side of the house when guests are present. Sketchy! Our neighbors across street will be available when we are not around. We feed birds, squirrels and even a couple of local wild cats. There is a creek running through the back of our property and the small airport landing strip is beyond that so ultimate privacy can be a plus if you feel reclusive. You might have a scrub jay(scruffy) and our widower crow(midnight) watching you sometimes on the deck railing. Cascade Locks is only 2 miles long and a half mile wide with about 800 people. Grocery store and famous ice cream stand are what is currently open. We have a local micro-brewary and are 20 minutes from bustling Hood River and 40 minutes to Portland Airport PDX. Must bring your own car. Walk to Port entrance(Marina) about a 6 block walk and a short mile to the grocery store or post office. The laundry room which includes the steam shower is near the doors that lock off to the main house where it is possible that you could hear the television in main house and voices on front porch if you have the window open in that room......We only had 1 guest mention that so want to give you a heads up. We do travel alot and might be gone during your visit.
