Norwich City is a very pet friendly place (dog park around), it's a community oriented place, Norwich and the overall Chenango County have a lot of peaceful recreational parks, lakes and offers waterfalls trails, we have a YMCA, a library (Guernsey Memorial Library) , there is a farmers market (seasonal) , tennis courts. There are 2 restaurants walking distance (1min.) from the rental: 1. Bohemian Moon - creative cuisine, they have live music some week days 2. Magro's (pizzeria) - you can order to go Most of the city activities take place at the East and West Parks, during the summer they have a concert series at the park. There is a 24hrs Walmart, a for groceries besides Walmart we have TOPS and Price Chopper, two nearby pharmacies, a hospital and 2 nearby veterinarian, jut in case you migth need it. Also the police and fire departments are 2 min walking from the house. My personal favorites places: 1. Bohemian Moon - nice international food 2. Parson's Daughter - chocolate and candy shop 3. Wild Old Cafe - good sandwiches, food and friendly people 4. La Maison Blanche Bakery Cafe - delicious pastries, good hot cocoas and paninis with a lovely view from the terrace (plus a yoga studio in the 2nd floor) 5. Northeast Classic Car Museum - 6.
