Bird River Bottega - A Waterfront Oasis!
Private entrance studio located on a waterfront property. The Bottega is perfect for couples, solo travelers, and business professionals; best suited for two travelers. Enjoy your morning coffee by the water and watch the Ospreys, herons, ducks, hawks, and bald eagles galore. Whether you are fishing, lounging, or kayaking the Bird River (home to the Chesapeake Bay), you are bound for relaxation. Surrounded by a plethora of eateries, shopping, and entertainment all within a 25 minute drive. You will have your own private entrance to our basement studio. A 350sq ft private room and bathroom, king sized bed, closet, WIFI, breakfast bar including mini fridge, microwave, keurig, and more. A twin pullout cot with memory foam mattress can be requested for an additional $50/per stay. Please request cot at booking. Designated parking for 2 vehicles within the driveway. Please do not park on the street. NOTE: There is a paved walkway leading to the private entrance. This suite also includes access to 2 kayaks, the ability to launch from our property, and life-vests of all sizes. Use of the river for activites is at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty. When operating a watercraft, in Maryland, you are required to have at least one wearable Type I, II, III or V PFD for each person on board, regardless of the length of the vessel. Also, anyone under the age of 13 years of age must wear a PFD when in the kayak. We live upstairs at the premises. We only interact with our guests if needed. You will have your own access to your own space, however we are a text away should you need us! Our 60lb pup named Moo and 96lb pup named Gus live on the premises, occasionally utilizing the backyard and acting as our BnB mascots. Please be sure to latch the gate upon entering/leaving, when utilizing the backyard amenities. If a potential interaction with our pets is a concern, please contact us prior to check-in and we will work to accommodate your needs. Our BnB is close to the beach, restaurants/dining, parks, drive-in theater, hiking, history/culture sites, and Baltimore City. The location provides the ability to enjoy the city and then disconnect into a quiet oasis on the water. Please request cot at booking. Help yourself to any of our kayaks! We launch our kayaks right from our property. Since we are located at the end of the Bird River/Chesapeake Bay watershed, the water typically falls between 2-5ft deep (depending on the tide). If you wish to wade or raft-up, we encourage water shoes. We recommend Hammerman Beach for swimming (less than 5 miles from our home)! There is a small entrance fee for the facilities including: bathrooms, lifeguards, small watercraft rentals ($), picnic areas, playgrounds, and more. Use of the river for any water-related activities is at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty.
