Lakefront Log Cabin with Mountain and Water Views

Welcome to our cottage on Schroon Lake. We hope you can share in the memories that this area has given us. The home is located on the Eastern side of Schroon Lake, allowing for sun exposure in the afternoon and gorgeous mountain views. Relax to the sound of splashing water, rustling trees, and fire crackling. A short drive from a general store and boat launch. 35 minutes from Gore Mountain Ski Resort 1hr 10min from Whiteface Mountain Ski Resort The home is a log cabin done right! Original owners clearly put a lot of love into the building of the structure. All paneled wood walls, stone fire place and wood floors. Two levels of deck looking out directly onto Schroon Lake. Some stairs to get down to our beach area. You will have access to the entire home, except the unfinished basement. We live in Connecticut for half of the year, and use this home the other half. We are a text or phone call away and have local cleaning and handy services that can assist if any emergency arises. We are nestled in a quiet area of the lake. Some seasonal homes are nearby, but the community is peaceful and calm. Within five minutes there is a general store with any basic needs, a small eatery, and ice cream! We are around 20 minutes to Schroon Lake village which has a larger grocery store, hardware story, etc. We are also close to the Lake George area (around 45min) which includes shopping, outlet, water and kid activities. Gore Mountain is only 35 minutes away, and Whiteface mountain is about an hour away. Great activities for winter, summer, fall, and spring! The property is next to Adirondack State Park so plenty of hiking, trails, and outdoor activities and can provide plenty of recommendations. We expect all guests and visitors to adhere to local noise ordinances and respect the neighbors and environment. The road is quiet for the most part with the only traffic being that of local residents. Many people are typically out walking in the warmer months. No public transportation. Driveway has room for multiple cars, and across the road there are additional spaces. We are focused on making this home gradually become more and more sustainable. We have a geo-thermal heating and cooling system that creates zero waste and we provide composting and recycling. Money made is reinvested to making it a more eco-friendly home.
