Safely vacation for a week at Sunny Acres Resort. Located on waterfront with 4 acres, many of our cottages sleep up to 13 people. Sunny Acres is on Cranberry Lake and part of the Rideau Canal system. Cottages contain fully equipped kitchens, BBQ, propane heating, air conditioning, bedding & comforters and a fire pit. With limited WIFI and no TV's this is truly your Canadian Cottage experience. Our cottages can be your home away from home. Check out our social pages for photos too! Sunny Acres cottages are very rustic with many original features from the 1920's! The bathrooms thankfully are modern inside and not outhouses! Walking into our cottages is like taking a step back in time to memories of family togetherness and no TV's or WIFI. We joke that you will actually have to talk to each other! Each cottage is named after a different Province or Territory and is decorated to honour the uniqueness of each place in Canada. At Sunny Acres our guests say that they feel so relaxed within hours of arriving. The casual atmosphere and the closeness to nature allows for extreme comfort and an all around wonderful personal experience for each guest. We strive to deliver memories for a lifetime at each visit! Sunny Acres is open for this cottage until October 12th. Guests have access to all common areas of the resort. This includes the pavilion, games room, giant checkers, fuse ball table, hammock, beach area, front porch at the Trading Post and lookout point as well. We even have our own island that guests can take a lawn chair to and dream away the day! The Trading Post is open daily from 7 AM- 5 PM. We are available to help you plan excursions to local attractions or to direct you to must visit local businesses for the best cheese, chocolate and wine. We provide drop off service for wood at each cottage as well. Sunny Acres Resort and Marina is on a quiet road. We are on an inlet of Cranberry Lake just off the Rideau Canal. There is a local grocery store that has the best deli counter! The LCBO is within walking distance as well as the local restaurant. The local Chocolatier is a must visit attraction too! Centennial Park is two doors down with basketball, tennis and pickle ball courts. It also has a great play structure for kids and a baseball diamond. Sunny Acres is 4 acres of beautiful waterfront property. The terrain can be difficult to navigate at two of our cottages due to rocks and elevation of the cottage sites. If you have special requirements for mobility please contact us to choose the right cottage for you. At the resort we rent kayaks, canoes, fishing boats and pontoon boats. Come and sail away with us. Pets are welcome and must be leashed at all times. There is also a one time $50 pet fee per stay.
