The Turning Mill neighborhood in Lexington is famous for it's Mid Century homes designed by early modernist architect Walter Pierce of MIT. Solidly middle class, academics, musicians, engineers etc., make this neighborhood their home for its serenity and unique style. The houses are spaced far apart, so there's plenty of privacy. Surrounded by conservation land and hiking trails, trees and nature abound. The space: Just 20 minutes from Cambridge and Boston, in the heart of the RTE 128 tech corridor, the house is surrounded by forest and hiking trails. Loft like open floor plan. Nature. Guest access: There is a key safe by the front door. Access is for the whole house with the exception of the addition pictured to the left of the front door. Access includes: 6 bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, 2.5 baths, laundry room and screened porch. Interaction with guests: I am available to answer questions and will respond within 24hrs. Other things to note: The yard is in transition and is mostly wild! There is room for 4 cars in the driveway. Please do not park on the street overnight. Please leave used towels and linens(with the exception of blankets and comforters) in the upstairs bathtub upon departure. Though the house can potentially sleep up to 10 people, the dining room table seats 6. There is another 6 chairs and a picnic table on the back porch for additional people. If you are a large group, take short showers to insure there is enough hot water for everyone. Please leave the house more or less the way you found it with the exception of dirty linens. More: Quiet time after 10pm. Some bookings may require a security deposit depending upon planned use and number of guests. Additional cleaning fees may be added on a case by case basis depending upon length of stay, number of people and use. Park in the Driveway. No overnight parking on the street. Snow shovels are provided if snow occurs during a guests stay. Guests are responsible for basic snow clearing. Yard is left to nature. If you notice anything that presents a danger that could result in damage to the location or to any individuals, please let us know immediately.
