Private Unit on Peaceful Farm, Convenient to Lake

The Garrett suite is a private-entry apartment located on the top floor of our historic carriage house. Your stay will bring you to Haley Farm, a 65-acre inn and retreat center. We are located just minutes from the lake, and conveniently right off Rt. 219, the major thoroughfare of the Deep Creek area. However, our seclusion in a serene little valley means you won’t feel any of the bustle and crowds this summer tourist destination is known for. Due to the current need for social distancing, we are only renting our four outside units with private entries. You will easily be able to maintain a safe distance from other guests. You are welcome to stroll the grounds of the farm. Feel free also to relax in a chair on the covered wraparound porch of the main farmhouse. You will be given a code to enter your unit. No one else will have access to your unit during your stay. You are welcome to roam the grounds of the farm or sit in a rocker on the covered wraparound porch of the main farmhouse. Chickens and friendly farm cats are free roaming on the premises. I live on the farm in a separate house. I am available via text or call, or you may see me around the farm gardening or performing maintenance tasks. On weekends, we sometimes make an outdoor fire for guests to sit around and relax. If this is something you would particularly enjoy, let us know. (subject to weather, of course) We highly recommend Swallow Falls State Park for a relaxing and scenic hike. If you are interested in spending time lakeside on the beach or renting kayaks or stand up paddleboards, you can check out Deep Creek Lake State Park or Herrington Manor State Park. Feel free to message us for further activity or dining recommendations! There is little in the way of public transportation and ride sharing services in the area. If you are interested in reserving a shuttle service for the night, there are a couple of vendors - you can message us for details. Please plan accordingly as the area is heavily surveilled for impaired driving by police.
