Beautiful oceanfront cottage with sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean and steps away from Acadia National Parks renowned Schoodic Peninsula. Nestled in Birch Harbor, the Chart House offers visitors an abundance of activities from kayaking, fishing, opportunity to collect sea glass, biking, star gazing and much more. The house offers two bedrooms, plus more sleeping arrangements which provide ample room for family and friends. The Chart House is your quintessential Maine getaway located directly on the Atlantic Ocean. Sit outside on the wrap around porch drinking your fresh cup of coffee watching the morning sunrise or if its a little chilly relax in the living room bundled up watching the morning news and taking advantage of the newly remodeled commercial-like kitchen. The space is completely furnished from top to bottom. It offers a fully equipped kitchen, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, cable TV, movies, towels, indoor & outdoor games (yahtzee, UNO, bananagrams), outdoor firepit, hair dryers and toiletries. All the comforts of home! --- BEDDING BREAKDOWN --- Bedroom 1 (1st Floor)- 1 Queen Bed Bedroom 2 (2nd Floor)- 2 Queen Beds Extra Twin Bed located in 2nd Floor living room Comfortably sleeps 7 people. Things to Note: 7 Night Minimum. WiFi & Cable TV. Dogs are negotiable, cats are non-negotiable. ----- IMPORTANT BEFORE YOU BOOK ----- Before you book, please know that this is NOT a party home. Noise ordinance in Birch Harbor is 11pm. Please limit any loud or excessive noise after this time as sound does travel very well across the harbor. There is absolutely NO smoking in the home. Any noise complaints received will result in a $500 fine and if a second noise complaint or the police are called there will be an immediate eviction without a refund. If you are here to celebrate a special occasion, we'd be more than happy to help you arrange an amazing time at some of the best restaurants or venues the area has to offer. Please do not hesitate to ask if you would like something arranged. ----- CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIMES ----- Check-in time is: 15:00 (3 PM) Check-out time is: 10:00 (10 AM) It may be possible to arrange an early check-in or late check out and we'd be happy to accommodate you if possible. However we sometimes have other guests arriving or leaving the same day, so it's not always possible. The early check-in or late check out fee is $100. The ferry service runs 4-5x daily from Winter Harbor (5-10 minutes drive from the house) late May through Columbus Day into Downtown Bar Harbor. The free Island Explorer bus system takes visitors from downtown Bar Harbor into the Main Section of the park.
