Welcome to Cabin 63... or, we like to call her, ‘The little Red House’. Our little prefab studio is located in a quiet, safe, tucked away rural neighborhood... at the foot of beautiful Saddleback Mountain. Three chickens and a cat free range among the oak trees and you will often hear the sounds of horses meandering down the road. The studio has a comfortable queen bed, not to firm, and the bed is dressed with comforter in duvet cover. The tiled bathroom is simple and clean. The studio has a small kitchenette with sink, dishes, mini-fridge, coffee maker and microwave. There is complementary coffee, tea and bottled water in the fridge. WiFi is free but we do not have tv or cable. The queen bed is firm, but not to firm, and topped with clean linen. Guests are welcome to use the outdoor space. There's a bench swing hanging from the large oak tree and at the end of the day a great place for a glass of wine and reflecting. This is one of my favorite spots in the yard and some of my best prayers are said here. The lower garden stays cooler and is also another gem in the yard. Sorry, no hosting uninvited guests or parties. Quiet zone after 10pm. I’m a driveway away from the studio and am happy to interact as much, or as little, as you’d like. You will often find us gardening or working on a project so we’re here if you need us. While you're here, and if you would like to meet for a short visit, we could meet for coffee in the morning, lemonade at lunch, or a glass of wine (or beer) in the afternoon. Also, we have a lot of musicians between family and friends so if we’re having a get-together..... well, you’ll be invited. For those of you who are endorphin driven...you won’t be disappointed. We are surrounded by some of the best dirt riding, and hiking, trails in Orange County. Saddleback Mountain, Whiting Ranch and O’Neil Park are just a few local wilderness areas at our doorstep. We also have several local wine tasting venues and Uber does provide service to the area. If you just feel like relaxing then grab a drink, a good book, and kick back in several cozy areas on the property. The evenings here are magic and you just might feel that you’ve stepped back in time. You’ll see the stars and chances are you’ll hear the sound of sheep grazing on a nearby hillside and coyotes yipping in the distance. There is one designated parking spot in front of the Little House but there is additional parking areas should you need it. We share the road with horseback riders here. Please slow down so you don't spook the horses. The riders really appreciate it and I want to stay on good terms with my neighbors. Thank you! Because we are in a high fire zone area there are no open fires, no smoking, and no real candles allowed anywhere on the property. *The studio electricity is limited and you will flip a breaker if you have the heater (or a/c), microwave and blowdryer running at the same time. With normal usage you will not have a problem.
