Escape and unwind at this spacious farmhouse. Great place for family and friends to gather and make wonderful memories. Hiking nearby in the Daniel Boone National Forest along with rafting, canoeing and kayaking. Board the Big South Fork Scenic Railway for a train ride to Barthell Coal Mining Town. Visit Cumberland Falls where you can hike or horseback ride. Or just stay at the farmhouse and relax. Enjoy the kitchen with all the modern conveniences and amenities to prepare a great meal. Large spacious kitchen with modern appliances and all the cooking utensils, dishes, etc. needed to prepare a big meal. Six bedrooms, 3.5 baths, washer/dryer, gas grill on back porch, big parking area. Large screen porch gives a view of the scenic train as it travels to and from the Barthell Mining camp and Mine 18. A two car garage is available that has a half bath. There is a campfire area complete with firewood, chairs and everything you need to build a fire. A basketball goal is available along with cornhole toss game, tower of blocks and horseshoe games. The farmhouse property is dog friendly. A contact person is available prior to or upon arrival and available when needed. The Big South Fork Scenic Railway boards at The Stearns Depot and is located just three minutes away from the farmhouse. The Stearns Golf Course, Stearns Museum and Megs Pottery Barn are also located in Stearns. The Rock Creek Trout fishing stream, and The Big South Fork River offers an abundance of fishing and sightseeing opportunities. Sheltowee Trace Adventure Resort offers rafting, canoeing and kayaking and picks up locally. Janie's Guidebook There is no public transportation. The farm has plenty of parking available including a two car garage that has AC and Heat, Galley Kitchen with stove and commercial refrigerator, freezer, a half bathroom, ping pong table, corn hole toss game, badminton, basketballs and basketball goal. There is a fire pit located outside garage and firewood is provided along with fire starters and roasting sticks along with camp chairs.
