Succurro : Tent with a View - Balance

A great option for the adventurous during COVID times! This listing is for one of 4 raised platform tents, located at the top of a hill, with a beautiful view. The tent has a full-sized bed, set of shelves and drawers for storage, and front porch to relax on. There is a firepit, outhouse, plenty of woods to roam, and stream to wade in. Bring your groceries - there is a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with grills, fridges, and all the necessities! ***Please read before booking!**** Some info for an enjoyable stay :) Succurro is a holistic health care facility and small farm. In addition to trainings, workshops, and events, we offer time and space away. For renters, sessions and classes are an option - ask for more info, or learn more about what we do by googling 'Succurro'. **Parking is at the main house, and the tents are a 5-7 walk up an incline.** Please come prepared for an uphill walk! We are happy to bring your things up in the tractor, as well. **We are strict about our 3-8pm check in window!** This is a camping stay, so we do need to show you around. That means, ideally it is still light out, and is also before our bedtime. We keep a typical 'farm schedule', up at dawn and in bed very early, so we do not do late check-ins unless you have notified us well ahead of time. Thank you for understanding! **Camping & COVID** We clean very well in between stays, and there is plenty of room for social distancing. Each tent gets their own containers for food storage, and bin with dishes, silverware, and basic condiments -- and is also therefore responsible for cleaning up their dishes and storing them after cooking. **We have outdoor showers!** Our new outdoor showers allow for longer stays. During the warm months, there are also plenty of places nearby for swimming. **There is no AC** In the Summer, it is not needed in the mountains. For early Spring and late Fall months, there are pellet stoves set up in each tent, which should keep you cozy. There are hot water bottles available, and extra blankets. We are in the mountains, though, so as usual - bring warm clothing no matter what time of year it is! **There is no cell service or electricity at the tents** Although the kitchen does have electricity/outlets, and you can get WiFi near the house. Please keep in mind this is still camping, even though you have a nice bed to sleep in and view to wake up to! There are no fancy frills; this space is for allowing people to safely and comfortably experience the interconnectedness between themselves and the land. **We love dogs, and welcome yours! However we have strict rules** Dogs must be on a leash on the property, since other guests may have dogs, and they often want to chase our chickens. Please pick up after your dog. Dogs are NOT allowed on furniture, especially the bed. If we find dog hairs or mud tracked on the sheets or duvet, we will take photos, and charge for new ones after your stay. Each are in the range of $60, so please just keep them off - it's easiest on us all :) **For 2021 we have built a cob oven, and will be hosting BYOB Friday night pizzas, for anyone interested! There will also be fresh veggies, eggs, and meat for purchase** This is quite a rural area, so car is really the only option We are generally quiet and hard working while running a homestead and business. We are happy to interact or keep to ourselves. East Meredith is a sleepy town, but we are just 15 minutes from Oneonta, Delhi, Bloomville, Bovina -- all with great restaurants and shops. Car is the best option, though we are willing to pick up from the bus station in Delhi or Oneonta for a small fee. There are animals on the land: goats, free-roaming chickens, bees, pigs, and a friendly dog!
