Private & Intimate Cottage In Eastern Townships

We have 8 acres of beautiful wood and IMHO a beautiful spot that we're continuing to gradually improve every year. It may be small but we really love it and it's got everything we need. I built this place myself based on plans I bought online in 2001 while working full-time and doing a masters degree. One day, we'll build our dream cottage at the top of our land to take in the spectacular views. But for now, the 3 kids and the jobs are keeping us more than busy. Private and intimate four season cottage located on a beautiful treed 8 acre mountain lot with a large deck and a private swimmable pond (spring fed). Located 5 minutes from Mount Owl's Head, 7 minutes from Lake Memphremagog and the Vale Perkins dock and 25 minutes from Sutton and Jay Peak, Vermont. Ground floor: Full kitchen + dining room + living room - open area. There's a sofa bed (double). There's an attic ladder to get to the second floor and an outside staircase as well. Second floor: Loft with closed bathroom. 1 queen bed, 2 double beds, 1 single bed (trundle), plus 2 single mattresses under the beds. Ideal for couple or young families. Non-smoking, pet friendly cottage. Can accommodate up to 6 people but 4 is more comfortable. Included: Snow removal, BBQ, wood for heating (wood stove and fire pit) and satellite TV (Bell ExpressVu). UPDATE: As of October 3rd, we are now offering Wi-Fi. Note that this is satellite based and the performances are very slow and costly compared to urban options. COVID-19 NOTICE: Due to the pandemic, we ask that guests bring their own sheets and towels. While we ask guests leave the place as they found it, we do have it cleaned between each reservation. Note that local cleaning services are extremely limited and this helps ensure everyone's safety. You have access to everything except the shed. I'm generally a phone call or text away but not necessarily close by. Our cottage is located on a quiet, dead-end street. The neighbours are far enough away to have your own piece & quiet but close enough that you don't feel lost in the woods. Only use the fire pit next to the pond. Do not place hot ashes in the woods and follow the forest fire warning levels before choosing to make a fire outside. The pond is spring fed and swimmable but can be cold. No diving allowed though. Please pickup after your pet (especially dogs).
