If you are looking to rent a home on Walloon Lake you don't need to be sold on the idea, you already know. I don't need to tell you about the water or the shops or the sunsets or how you can walk the North Shore path to the village...If you have made the decision to rent on Walloon give our cottage a look if its available. Sorry - no parties allowed. This cottage sits about 30-40' above the lake giving stunning views of the almost Caribbean blue water of Walloon Lake. The (quite steep) driveway leads you to parking for 3-4 cars. Additional cars can be parked in the village parking lot about a mile away for no cost. The large kitchen greets you when you walk in the front door and the only main level bathroom is adjacent. The living/dining room sits behind a wall of windows giving you stunning lake views. Dining room table seats 8-10 comfortably and the over-sized sectional faces the wood burning fireplace and TV. There are 3 bedrooms accessed from the living room (2 King rooms, 1 queen). Only one King has direct access to the upstairs bathroom. French doors lead to a fantastic porch overlooking the lake where there is an outdoor seating area as well as outdoor dining table for 10. Access to the downstairs bunk room (3 bunk beds) and bathroom can be either down the stairs by the front door, through the unfinished basement laundry or directly from the outside of the home. The lower level has three connected rooms. First is the laundry and mechanical room, then is the full bath and finally the bunk room. All three rooms connect from the inside of the cottage as well as have their own doors leading to the walk out level of the yard leading to the lake. Outside there is a basketball hoop, a firepit and a dock on the lake. There is no yard to speak of as the home sits on a fairly steep grade. The trip to the lake from the cottage requires about 50 steps and is quite stunning. The cottage sits on the north shore walking trail. This is a path along the north shore from the point leading to the village. Many people walk this beautiful path from their homes to and from the restaurants and shops nearby. It is a beautiful walk, the path is not lit and also passes through the property of all the neighbors so quiet and respectful behavior is essential. You will have private access to the cottage and the dock. The garage is not included as we store personal items inside it. If our boat is here on the dock it is not included and not to be accessed. We have the help of a property management specialist should there be any issues while you are here. This part of the lake is tranquil and quiet and we ask our guests to respect that. Noise travels on the lake easily. Cottage sits on the north shore path leading directly along the lake to the Walloon Lake Village with shopping and dining, 12-15 minute walk. No stag parties allowed.
