Eagle Creek Ranch is my special place. I fell in love with it on my first visit and I knew it was for me. I decided, after spending the last few months pouring my heart into the property, the ranch house and the Saloon, that I wanted to share it with others. The wifi is good, there is parking for many, you can invite friends for dinner under the oaks and you might see the resident bobcat and fox through every day. You’re a 10 second walk from downtown Bell Street. I decided that if I was going to own a property in Los Alamos, it's going to be furnished with vintage farmhouse and ranch furniture. I'm an Architect so I have had fun putting things together...with comfort always being first priority! Some of the pieces are from my friends who wanted a place to store their cool stuff (who would say no) and some are my own family heirlooms. I have a story for each piece if you want a tour...lol. Outdoor lounging and walking is encouraged. The lounge chairs are on wheels. The saloon is a great place to hang out as is the “south forty” (yards, not acres). The sycamore tree that dominates the space was 150 years old during the Civil War!) You are free (and encouraged) to wander anywhere! The birds are amazing and they love the tree outside the kitchen window. The most quiet place is the south side of the house. I feel strangely removed, yet connected to the world, which is just beyond, on the other side of the creek. You can see it but no one can see you! I'm around 24/7 for questions. I maintain a small space on the property and live there part time. You won't see me unless you want to. I am always available and can be there if anything happens. (Kind of like your fairy godmother). My property is across the bridge over San Antonio Creek in downtown Los Alamos. It is a 10 second (maybe less) walk to Bell Street and all of the great restaurants. The Depot Bar and Antique Mall are across the street. Los Alamos has a great vibe. It's still small and cozy and you will probably see the same people every day. I love this! You can walk the entire downtown in one street but there is fantastic cycling, wine tasting, and driving all through the Santa Ynez Valley, which is within 15 minutes of Los Alamos. The ranch entry gate is always locked, but you will have the combination to get in. Try to keep the gate closed even when you’re there. There are also some saloon rules, for your safety (and your fun!). I have more specific instructions about your arrival and departure and will email them to you prior to the date of your stay!
