Peter across the valley. Fire pit off the pool area. Our resident wildlife includes deer, wild turkeys, red-tailed hawks, woodchucks, finches including indigo bunting, hummingbirds (2 feeders). At time of purchase, the entire property needed attention. The house, pool and pool deck are now completely renovated, first phase of landscaping concluded Fall 2018, farm buildings and remaining landscaping, including around the pond and boundary streams, come next. We plan to become a working farm, with horse stabling and light agriculture, as well as an event space, suitable for celebrations and concerts. Warwick and Orange County have orchards, farmers markets, wineries, skiing, grand fall foliage displays, local dining ranging from cheap but good to elegant cuisine served in lovely settings, a variety of local boutique shopping, and one of the best ice cream shops around, the Bellvale Creamery. The 197 and 198 buses run from New York Port Authority to and from Warwick Village. The farm is located in Warwick town, about 3 miles and a short local cab or Lyft/Uber ride, bike ride or hike from the village. New Jersey Transit/MetroNorth train goes from Penn Station New York/Secaucus to nearby Tuxedo, about a 25 minute car ride to the farm, a demanding but pleasurable bike ride over two mountains, or a scenic mountain hike along portions of the Appalachian Trail. The Shortline/Coach bus also stops at the Tuxedo train station.
