Our Haven on Hodge is exactly that. You'll love the attention to detail in this studio apartment. It's perfect for an intimate getaway with a loved one or on your own. We'll have some occasional giveaways and fun throwbacks as well as things to do in the area so don't miss out! *ALL GUESTS MUST BE REGISTERED, no exceptions. No smoking. The studio is in our newly remodeled basement. You'll have access to a full kitchen complete with a toaster oven/microwave combo, full bathroom, queen bed, patio area, parking and a firepit area. The laundry area is shared between us and our guests with separate entrances. We will happily stock your fridge with breakfast essentials upon request to make your stay even easier but rest assured the coffee is always fully stocked from our favorite organic coffee roaster because let's be honest; even on vacation, Mondays are real. You’re more than welcome to all guest spaces which include a small fire pit area to roast marshmallows or sit by the fire and your own patio with drapes for privacy. Staying here in our little haven means you’re staying at our home so you’ll probably see us coming or going. We would love to get to know you be are committed to making your stay comfortable- stop us for a chat anytime you wish but please don’t feel pressured to if you’d rather enjoy your privacy. We live in the main house so there may be some interactions but not necessarily needed as we have a keypad entry. You will love the easy 1.5 mile drive to the heart of Abbeville and all our local eateries. We highly recommend a visit to town for a walk around the square, a bite to eat or to catch a show at the Opera House. Favorite places to eat: •Village Grill- great for date nights. Our most upscale dining experience in town. Be sure to try something on the Specials Board! •Maria’s Mexican Restaurant- also a great dine in experience and yummy food. •Off the Hook Seafood- one of our favorite quick bites. We love the shrimp grits and fried fish. •Theo’s. Best pizza in town! We love their salads, pizza and sandwiches. Dine in or takeout. •Rough house- hot dogs and ice cream, great stop with kiddos! •Main Street Coffee- great for a light fare and coffee or desserts! •Cold Spring Café is a great local haunt. It’s not in town but their Dutch style home cooking is wonderful for breakfast or lunch. Dine in or takeout. Shopping: We love to park in the town center and take a loop around town with family or friends. Make it an all day affair or do it for an hour, either way, all the shops will serve you well and you’ll be greeted with friendly service and find unique items at our antique and thrift shops. A few worthy mentions: •Divine Your Space- for unique decor and all things plants and souvenirs. •Crate and Quill- this shop is unique and you can spend loads of time taking in all the little unique items. If you like something, grab it because you probably won’t be able to find it again;) Thrift/antique •Urban 2 Country- unique local canned food/ sauces as well as a chocolates case where you’ll find yummy treats to devour! They also carry some thrift items and we love to look browse their little shop. •105 West- fun, unique fashion finds, gifts and shoes Due West: •Mama’s Sweet Shoppe for fresh Donuts and coffee. A fun spot for a treat and worth the 20 minute drive! Greenwood: If you’re wanting to find lots of variety in restaurants, this is your place! From upscale dining to drive thru options, there’s plenty of places to visit! •Aroma’s Village Coffee is our favorite coffee shop and the food is also great for a quick bite. Greenwood also has a wonderful spa; The Spa on Maxwell. Book a massage, get a facial, pedi, mani or any of their other wonderful experiences. It’s a treat!
