Built by one of Salem's shipping families in the 1820's, our 3 story brick home is rich with restored plaster moldings, original woodwork, and charming details. It has 5 sunny bedrooms (sleeps 9) and 3 full baths plus a powder room (all fully renovated with marble mosaic floors and modern fixtures). There is a gracious living room with original carved marble mantle, large dining room (whose walls are covered with hand painted silk wallpaper), a large eat-in kitchen with a commercial range, a comfortable family room and a library. There is also a deck off the kitchen for enjoying a meal or your morning coffee while overlooking the garden. The house has been completely renovated to the highest standards but retains all of its original charm and detail. All beds have Italian Frette linens and bathroom have Frette towels. We are located on renowned Chestnut Street, in Salem's exclusive Mcintire Historic District. We are just across the street from the Phillips House Museum and within walking distance to the Peabody Essex Museum, Hamilton Hall, the Witch House, downtown Salem and the waterfront.
