The Peace Garden Rental
The Peace Garden House on a 1/2 acre in Multnomah Village, 4 miles from downtown
Beautiful home on 1/2 acre in Multnomah Village. Multnomah Village is located in SW Portland where you will find restaurants, brewpubs, bars, boutiques, banking, and coffee shops. We are a 5-minute walk into the Village and a less than a 10-minute drive from downtown Portland. Our house features a private entry, kitchenette, living room, guest office space, washer/dryer, bathroom with walk-in shower (please note, there is not a bathtub), 2 bedrooms with a queen bed in each, off-street parking, and fenced backyard with hot tub, fire pit, and unique Peace Garden. There are a few steps outside leading down to the entry otherwise, the Peace Garden Rental is one level. The aerial photo is from 2009 when we first installed the garden. Since then plants have filled-in and there have been lots of landscaping improvements. We live onsite (on the top floor of the house that is completely blocked off from the lower level which is the vacation rental space) with our little dog (13 lbs) Santi. Santi is very friendly and she will introduce herself to you if you spend time in the backyard. We ask though that you do not feed her so that she stays accustomed to her food. Our yard offers a park-like setting. The lower yard has a lawn and provides open space to run around, play disc golf or toss the ball. The Peace Garden is located in the middle portion of the property and is about 1600 square feet of mostly vegetables. The upper yard (closest to the house) provides big trees to sit under, the hot tub and the fire pit area. You may see us from time to time working in the garden, maintaining the hot tub, etc. and we will always strive to maintain your privacy. Also, yard maintenance crew visits once a week, usually Weds. afternoon for about 1.5 hours.
