A wonderful mud/laundry room helps with crowd management, providing a kid-proof entry and ample space for stashing all your gear. The large dining area seats ten people, and there is also a large exterior patio and dining area with gas grill for easy entertaining. Every single touch was thought of - from a perfectly stocked kitchen with high-end appliances and cookware to luxurious towels and bedding that were perfectly crisp and clean upon arrival. The home has everything you could want in a home (let alone a vacation home!) and more! Tastefully decorated - it was evident that someone put a lot of time and love into making this home feel like a home. This was an absolutely amazing getaway for a family of 4 - and it was especially so for our children! There is a “children’s wing” tucked behind the kitchen/living space featuring two huge bedrooms with (super fun!) bunkbeds and a playroom with tv and full bath that can be closed off completely with a barn door once the children go to bed. The home also featured a spectacular amount of high quality children’s books and toys - a welcome surprise for us all that definitely helped keep the kids entertained during our time there. The adults loved the extra comfortable beds and the excellent selection of books sprinkled around the house. A favorite pastime was sitting on the front porch, reading and watching the deer frolic through the surrounding woods. We cooked nearly every meal at home with ease. The whole family enjoyed games of foosball and playing the many excellent games left for renters to enjoy - amazingly they all had ALL the pieces (pretty unusual! And a sign of attentiveness to even the smallest details). Traveling during Covid - we specifically sought out a rental that was private, had room for our children and dog to run outside, and adhered to strict cleaning/sanitizing measures and this home checked every box and then some. We actually couldn’t get over how spotlessly clean the home was when we arrived! This was especially welcome as a property that allows pets - we never would’ve known another dog had set foot in this house before! Elizabeth the manager of the property was exceptionally responsive and attentive from the booking process onward. We would come back in a heartbeat to this beautiful gem in Crested Butte.
