Enjoy an absolutely amazing stay at the Naples Mountain View Cabin. Just outside of the charming town on Naples NY. Right in the heart of Finger Lakes Wine country! There are two rental cabins and over beautiful 20 acres to enjoy! There are two water falls on property in season! Absolutely stunning views! There is a private hot tub and a wood burning stove. Enjoy the a bon fire over looking the valley below. There is Dish TV, WiFi, etc.... But, will you really use them? :-) There are three cabins on this 20 acre property. Two are rentals. I am listing the "Lower Cabin" which is a little nicer and has a full bedroom design as most VRBO guests are looking for longer stays. The Lower cabin is available at a special rate to VRBO/Homeaway guests Please note we are on an Artesian well. The water quality varies during the year, I would encourage folks to bring their own drinking water. h… **** HELP IF NEEDED ***** PLEASE NOTE, VRBO WILL NO LONGER ALLOW ME TO INCLUDE ATTACHMENTS, PROVIDE CONTACT INFO, OR PHONE NUMBERS..... IF YOU NEED HELP IN ANYWAY, YOU MUST CONTACT THEM DIRECTLY.... This is a terrible policy in my opinion as I want to HELP my guests..... But, they have threatened to remove my listing..... SO..... VRBO...... It's in your court.... PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT THE DRIVEWAY WITH THE SIGN “DB COOPER”. It's WAY TOO STEEP for most vehicles to make it back up.... That's my driveway, down the mountain.... Yours is just a little bit further on the right. LOOK FOR THE SIGN THAT SAYS LOWER CABIN.... That's it! WiFi info: FRANKYWIFI_EXT (Strongest at the Lower cabin) Password for both: j10essie No smoking indoors please…. No exceptions…. There is a $250 cleaning fee if there is smoking in the cabin, (Legal or not :-) I had to enforce this last week as I lost a guest who noted the Marijuana smell from the previous guests. It cost me a fortune to have the entire cabin wiped down including the walls, vents, etc etc… YOUR RATE: I have been asked to try to keep the rate to a bare minimum as people really appreciate the value. To accomplish this, I’ve implemented the following measures. Firewood is not included in your rate. You are welcome to bring your own hardwood to burn. Wood should be 20” or less. I will typically provide a load of wood which is good for two~ days depending how hot you like it. It’s $15 if you decide to use it, please leave the cash in the envelope provided or you may use the self service "Kiosk" in the Driveway to the Lower cabin if I am out of town and there is no wood stacked in your cabin. It's right next to the garage. There is a slot for the cash. Please do not attempt to use the propane heaters, they are intended for Winter use when the cabins are not used so the water doesn’t freeze. Propane is very expensive, hands off please. A little more info about the cabins: The Lower cabin is a little bit larger with a traditional bedroom design. It’s down the hill a bit, so a four wheel vehicle would be preferred in the snowy season. (Or you can park up top and walk down) I have entertained a few return guests for single night stays mid-week if they are open… You may choose to ask me about this. PLEASE USE THE LIFT BAR FOR THE CABIN’S HOT TUB. Do not toss the cover on the deck, it’s very VERY easy to use… Fold up the first side with the bar down, then lift the bar as needed to cradle the entire cover. These are very expensive. I have replaced 2 this year so far. ADDITIONALLY, the couches are now in “SAFE MODE” as well. The recliner mechanisms are locked. I had to do this to accommodate some of our heavier guests. Please do not attempt to force them open, they will break… Last, please park on the driveway and not on the grass…. Thanks for that… DIRECTIONS FROM THE NORTH. (Rochester, Syracuse, Buffalo) From the town of Honeoye NY which is on the North end of Honeoye Lake. Turn South from route 20A South on County Road 36. (Also called West lake road) There is a small sign that says "Naples 15 mi". Continue 10~ miles. Feather Street is on RIGHT. Up hill 1/2 mile to mailboxes/stop sign. RIGHT. Cabin is 1/2 mile on RIGHT. You'll see the "Upper cabin" first which is right along the road. My black H2 will be there if I am local. Take either of the next two turns in the driveway, and you'll see the "lower cabin". DIRECTIONS FROM THE SOUTH (NYC, Binghamton, Hornell, etc) From the town of Naples NY. At "Middletown Tavern” turn North on Country Road 36. Continue 5~ miles. Feather Street is on LEFT. (Just past "Hunt Hollow" ski center) Up hill 1/2 mile to mailboxes/stop sign. RIGHT. Cabin is 1/2 mile on RIGHT. You'll see the "Upper cabin" first which is right along the road. My black H2 will be there if I am local. Take either of the next two turns in the driveway, and you'll see the "lower cabin". This is your rental. There's no East/West approach to speak of. We're in the valley, so it's North/South approaches from either Honeoye or Naples. Of note! Some GPS will try to take folks on a Westerly trip down the mountain. There is NO OPEN ROAD regardless of what your GPS may think. :-) Best to roll in to Naples or Honeoye and continue from there. :-) CHECK IN and CHECK OUT Check in is 3pm ET, Check out 11am ET. If there's interest in checking in early, or out late just ask. I'll do the best I can to accommodate the requests based on circumstance. GAINING ACCESS Most of the time I will leave the door open and the key on the granite counter. Please do the same as you depart. Do not lock up, I only have one set of keys at the moment for both cabins :-). WHAT DO I BRING? Booze, drinking water, food, charcoal and fluid if you’re planning to grill, whatever toiletries you desire. Firewood if desired… HOT TUB OPERATION: The lower Cabin is equip’d with a private hot tub. (Please note I didn’t say Jacuzzi) It is part of what makes the cabin experience so great. Please help me, help you understand the operation as it will enhance your stay. I typically set the tubs for 101 degrees which is ideal. The jets are all custom set for efficiency and heating. PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE ANY SETTINGS. Renting to the public with hot tub’s has been extremely problematic. People seem to have the need to push every button which has undesired effects. One particular week I had to dispatch a technician EACH DAY to un-do what people had accidentally done. (Sleep mode, Economy mode, maintenance mode, etc) Recently I had a young lady accidentally send the tub into a maintenance mode…. It forced on the heater, pump, and blower. The tub went up to 120F which should not be possible. She left it like that for two days and suggested the hot tub might be “broke” in the notes when she left. She later explained what had happened. I had to have the heater element, the motor and the circuit board replaced for about $800~. The filter and console melted, leaving pulp everywhere…. It was a real debacle… Ever since I’ve asked folks to just open, (half) the top, grab a cocktail, and enjoy the view…Life has been much easier.... So…. Please…. Resist the urge to push the buttons. I appreciate it! Last… Lotions and oils will make the tub experience extremely unenjoyable… If you have any lotions on, please shower before using the tub. It’s very much appreciated! GRAB A COCKTAIL, GET IN, AND ENJOY THE VIEW. LINEN AND SUCH I provide fresh linen, towels and such. Please do not remove your makeup with my towels. They are very expensive to replace. KITCHEN EQUIPMENT Your kitchen is pretty much equipped for most cooking. This includes a coffee maker. PARKING especially in the Winter season While four wheel drive is always preferred… Outside of the most extreme Winter events, a normal 2 wheel drive with all season tires will be just fine. The cabin’s driveway is on a bit of an incline. If the weather is less than stellar, you may park near the road in the driveway (Driveway for Lower cabin is “U shaped”, I would suggest the North side) Note, please park on the DRIVEWAY not the GRASS. The lower cabin has a U shaped driveway. It’s all yours. Please don’t park on the walkway or the grass. PETS I LOVE well behaved doggies, I really do. But… As I have allowed folks to bring their pooches, I am finding that everyone has a different definition of “well behaved”. I have had to replace two very expensive carpets and a set of curtains due to “accidents”. This is simply not a good business plan… If your pet does not bark excessively, is respectful/friendly, doesn’t “chew” and perhaps most importantly never EVER has an accident in doors…. Then they would be welcome… PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW YOUR PETS ON THE BED OR THE FURNITURE. I’m still waiving the pet fees but am getting tired of cleaning up dog hair... Please be responsible and allow me to continue to allow you to bring your furry friends. If you can’t agree to 100% of the above, please leave Fido, (Fidoette) at home. I have a name of a great “doggie day care” not far from here if desired. You can put them up, get em’ a nice bath/hair cut if desired all for about $17/day~. TWO LEGGED PETS. (aka “kids”) I have an adults only policy. 18 or older please unless you have written approval otherwise.
