Secluded 4 bedroom ranch style home on a dead-end road at the confluence of the Blue Earth and Watonwan rivers. Large kitchen with counter seating for 4. Open doorway to the large dining room with bay window to view pond and wildlife. Living room with access to 3 season porch and large deck, also with view of pond. Indoor activities available; piano, pool table, sauna, games, 65 inch Smart TV in the large basement, and great views of the rivers and wildlife. Enough outside area to play yard games, basketball hoop, swing set/treehouse for children, walking paths, and an area to enjoy campfires(wood provided). Easy access to the rivers for fishing and canoeing. 4 bedrooms with 3 1/2 bathrooms provide you with plenty of room to sleep comfortably. ** Please note that the nightly rate is based on 6 guests, additional guests are an additional fee of $15 per night per person. (children under 2 are free). The price will automatically calculate when you indicate the number of guests staying. We are located in a quiet yet convenient area 1 mile off of HWY 169, near several small towns of Lake Crystal, Good Thunder, Garden City, Madelia, St James and the Cities of Mankato and North Mankato. Local Breweries in Mankato and Madelia. We recommend restaurants of La Plaza Fiesta, Mexican restaurant, The Fox Den, pizzeria both in Madelia. Only 6 miles away in Lake Crystal there is Kevin's local grocery store, DQ, The Rocks Liquor store, The Lakes Bar and Grill. Also in Lake Crystal, public access to 2 lakes, Lake Crystal and Loon Lake. Another great small town bar/restaurant in Good Thunder, The Thunder Bar. The Red Jacket Valley Park is 9 miles away. Swimming, walking trails, and kayaking/canoeing. Located right next to the Red Jacket bike trail. Minneopa State Park is 10 miles away. Attractions there are double waterfall, bison, hiking trails, and wildlife. Minneopa Golf Course is 10 miles away, a bit further is Northlinks Golf Course in North Mankato and the Mankato Golf Club. Mount Kato Ski Area is 10 miles away. Ski, snowboard and tubing in the winter and mountain biking in summer. The Damn Store and Restaurant is 4 miles away, this is a quaint old-time restaurant near the Rapidan Damn and county park. This is also a great location to put your canoe or kayak in the Blue Earth River for a scenic trip downstream towards Mankato. The area around Mankato has several paved bike trails, the closest is accessed in the small town of Rapidan, 6 miles away. The area in the spring-fall have a variety of small-town or large city festivals and events, If you are a youth sports team coming to the area for a tournament - our location is private, quiet and a great alternative to the hustle and bustle of a hotel atmosphere, and yet quickly accessible to the Mankato/North Mankato area. We have available for our guests' maps and brochures of bike trails, parks, attractions, and activities for you to browse/read when you arrive.
