Glade Meadow is located on a private 15-acre estate located just 8 miles (15 minutes) from the Town of Black Mountain, 23 miles (30 minutes) from Asheville and 15 miles (20 minutes) from Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. The property is adjacent to the Pisgah National Forest and is home to an abundance of wildlife including black bear, deer, turkey, birds and many other animals. This rustic industrial log home is set up perfectly for 2-3 families or multiple couples to vacation together. There are two bedrooms, each with full ensuite, on the third floor. Also, on the third floor, a pull-out sofa in the loft overlooking the great room with a spectacular view of the beautiful meadow. The master bedroom suite is on the main level with an extra-large, one-of-a-kind grotto shower. A fourth bedroom on the meadow level is perfect for the kids with two bunk beds and a full bathroom. Each bedroom has a TV. All bedrooms are all made up prior to your arrival and we provide towels and linens in every bathroom. Glade Meadow's gourmet kitchen is well stocked with all your cooking needs for your vacation. The rustic industrial design of the home is highlighted in the décor of the kitchen, dining room and great room. The kitchen backsplash is made from repurposed, galvanized metal roofing. You will find more of the metal roofing on an accent wall in the garden level lounge. The lighting over the island is the work of a craftsman from Atlanta. Repurposed barn wood was used to make benches for seating around the local artist made dining room table. The fireplace mantel in the great room was created from a beam found in a100-year-old church in South Georgia. The attention to detail in the décor and the open floor plan of the main floor provide the perfect atmosphere for all to gather, eat, relax, converse, and listen to music and create special memories. Your kids will not be bored at this house! They can play in the meadow or splash in Glade Creek while the adults relax on the large deck. There is a dartboard as well as a TV with a DVD player and WII on the garden level. For nature lovers, there is hiking, a creek that runs the length of the property and abundant wildlife. Arrow heads are known to be found along the creek bed. Be on the lookout for the hidden, vintage 1900's outhouse on the property and Serenity Point hiking trail! Nearby Fun: 15 private acres to explore! There are numerous hiking trails, streams and rivers, and waterfalls in nearby Catawba Falls and Creston Community Resort.
