For off season rates please contact us. La Petite Cachette is a completely restored 'barge board' historic private home listed on The National Register of Historic Places. The Guest Quarters is located in the historic residential district. Just a few blocks away is the "Depot District". This depot area was the site of the on location 1965 filming of "This Property Is Condemned"- a love story set in 1930 Dodson, Mississippi starring Natalie Wood and Robert Redford. The Guest Quarters features an open living area with a full sleeper sofa, a kitchen with counter for casual dining, and dining table for 4. It has a fully equipped kitchen: dishes for 8, stainless flatware for 8, cooking utensils, cookware, & barware. There is a refrigerator, gas stove, dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer. Small appliances include coffeemaker, toaster, crockpot. There is a writing desk with excellent lighting & Wi-Fi access, a flatscreen TV with expanded cable channels, a DVD player, and an alarm/safety system are included. Games, puzzles, and DVDs are available. The bedroom has a queen size bed with large closets. There is a safety ladder in the closet for an emergency. The bathroom has a shower/tub combination. There is a private water closet in the bathroom. The balcony overlooking the pool is perfect for morning coffee or an evening beverage. The french doors and many windows give inviting views all around. The guest quarters is almost like being in a treehouse. There is also a Weber charcoal grill for your outdoor cooking use. There are 4 bicycles under the carport available for guests to use during their stay. We also have four-seat electric golf carts available to rent during your stay. *All TVs in the cottage have a ROKU for streaming as well as an antenna for local channels. *Please note this is 'The Guest Quarters' (VRBO #472872) and there is also another accommodation in the downstairs 'Main House' (VRBO #489053) listed separately. 'La Petite Cachette' is a completely restored barge board historic private home. The pool is shared by the guests in the Guest Quarters and the Main House. We allow pets on an individual basis.
