Lake House Near Shawnee Peak & Sebago State Park
Waterfront House Near Shawnee Peak & Sebago Lake State Park.
*No pets, no parties, no college kids. Jupiter Landing is the perfect home base for skiing, snowmobiling, leaf-peeping, or just relaxing at lake's edge and letting your cares slip away. This three-story, 4 bedroom has been painstakingly, lovingly, and completely redone when we purchased it in 2017. New paint everywhere, brand new kitchen, new lighting, new hardware, new flooring throughout, updated bathrooms, wet bar, laundry, and brand new beautiful furnishings -- including luxurious memory foam mattresses on all beds. The house features two fireplaces (and plenty of seasoned wood to burn next to house), two 4K 55" TVs with built-in Roku enabling Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc. Jupiter Landing is right on the lake's edge where you can enjoy morning coffee on the dock (until lake is frozen and dock is removed for winter). Snow mobiles enjoy the massive smooth surface of the frozen lake, and for other winter sports, Shawnee Peak is located in the next town over (Bridgton, ME). Less than an hour away is Sunday River, and in the other direction, NH's eastern most ski areas. On the main floor you'll find a beautiful guest bedroom with queen bed and tons of closet space just across from the first full bath. Down the hall is a roomy laundry room with new washer and dryer to warm up your ski socks before heading out. The main living space is bright, sunny and open concept with large two-sofa seating area, fireplace, TV and vintage record player. You can cook up a big meal for the family in the brand-new kitchen featuring a 10-foot barnwood island, and quaint dining area. Upstairs are two more bedrooms -- One king, one queen -- and a sitting room. The second updated bath with shower is located on this floor. On the lower level will be many people's favorite spot -- the game room, wet bar, and bunk room. A large sectional gives the perfect spot for warming your feet off the pot belly stove and watching a movie on the 55" 4K TV. Or, slide over to the wet bar with fridge/freezer and play a game of shuffleboard on our 9' table. There's also a half-bath on this level, and the bunk room with two twin memory foam beds. The house also offers ample bedding/sheets/blankets if you have a larger group and want to utilize the three sofas for sleeping, and a trundle bed in 3rd floor landing. All in all, you can sleep 8 adults comfortably. There's ample parking for up to five or six cars, and snow plowing service is set for any flakes that fall. The house is key-code secured so there's no keys to mess with, and features three Nest thermostats so you don't have to worry about leaving the heat at a certain level when you depart because we can do it from our phones. All-in-all, Jupiter Landing is a cut above the typical lake "camp" up in Maine. From the materials chosen in the renovation, to the tasteful decor, this is a very special place you'll remember for a long time... particularly if you catch a sunrise over Brandy Pond.
