Still cool enough to end the day by a warm fire. Our cozy cabin is just 45 miles from NYC. Updated home with rustic charm of knotty pine floors and walls. A short walk around the corner is our beautiful lake beach with stunning views. Mountain Creek, Wawayanda State Park, Warwick, NY, Appalachian Trail, all minutes away! I Unwind and relax in our cozy mountain lake retreat. Home features 2 bedrooms and a loft, plus a double sleeper sofa. All mattresses are new! Bedroom 1-queen bed, Bedroom 2-twin over double, Loft-1 double, 1 twin, Family room-pull out double. Pack and Play available. Bed linens provided. Please note: house limited to 6 adults max plus 2 children for a total of 8 guests for stays a week or less. For extended stays house in limited to 4 adults plus 2 children total. Home has a three-bedroom septic. Cozy living room with cathedral ceiling, skylights, pine floors and walls, open plan to kitchen, with a cozy velvet sofa by the fireplace. Family room with cathedral ceilings, picture windows, sectional sofa, flat screen tv, and dining area. Slider door to back deck and large windows provides natural light and lake views. Kitchen equipped with stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, dishwasher, Keurig, granite counters, tea kettle, dishes/utensils, servingware and all essentials. Highchair available. Dine al fresco on the back deck. Our home sits on a corner lot of a paper lane and backs to a wooded wooded hillside property. Seasonal lake views and short walk to private beaches (in neighborhood-no busy road to cross!) Enjoy roasting marshmallows or a glass of wine (or both!) on the side patio with firepit. Enjoy peace and quiet in nature. Close to the Appalachian trail, Wawayanda State Park, hiking, biking, beautiful walks around the lake, swimming, boating, SUP, kayaking, fishing, playgrounds, tennis, basketball, zip lining, golf courses, wineries, farmers markets; simply endless opportunities for fun and relaxation. Mountain Creek Resort offers winter sports, mountain biking, and water park in the summer. Beautiful Warwick, NY for shopping and fine dining. All-seasons activities in and around Highland Lakes! Access to private lakes and beaches in the Highlands Lakes Community. We are required to register all guests in your party with our association in advance. Dogs welcome, sorry no cats. $100 fee for dogs per stay and must be arranged in advance. Entire home. Available by phone/text/email. Please note that the pin drop on the map makes it appear that our home is on Lakeshore Drive and it is not. Our home is one block back on Hillside Road. Airbnb has not been able to fix this. Highland Lakes is a residential and seasonal community. Guests are asked to observe community quiet hours of 10pm-5am. No loud parties, no drugs, no smoking of any kind is allowed on our property. We ask that guests be respectful of neighbors and community. In addition to all that Highland Lakes offers, nearby is Wawayanda State Park, wineries (Warwick Valley), apple picking, farmers markets, sweet treats (Candy Apple Shop), ice cream, Bellvale Creamery is our favorite-the view and ice cream is worth the 20 min drive. Enjoy coffee at The Daily Bean. Enjoy beautiful walks around Highland Lakes (our home is near the "big lake"), or venture out to explore the beautiful surrounding areas. Market Place Deli (take-out/pizza) and Lake Wanda Store (beer) for convenience items and prepared food, and Highland Lakes General Store are a short drive away. Short walk to 2 beaches. Car needed for other activities and necessities. Slow driving through neighborhood! Our homeowners association requires all guests in the party be registered for each and every stay. As the homeowners we are required to complete a form and register our guests as associate members. This will require first and last name and phone number of each adult 18 and over in your party as well as the permanent address for primary renter. With this application we also pay our association a fee for each and every rental. We cannot process applications and allow rentals without all of this information in advance. We request that you provide this information at the time you book your rental. Cleaning fee for 1 week is $90 and included rate is in the booking. Fee for stays over 1 week up to 3 weeks is $125. Cleaning fee for stays over 3 weeks is $150. Additional fees ($35 or $60) for extended stays will be requested after booking.
