One Garage spot and one driveway parking spot are included with rental. We also offer additional garage and boat parking for an extra charge. Rivendell is located in a safe friendly beachfront community. Within just a few blocks walking distance you will find a commuter rail to Chicago or Milwaukee, quaint boutiques, inspirational restaurants, yoga and spa options, a new playground and tennis court, local history museum. cafe, brewery, bike paths, interesting home architecture and both people and dog beaches. This home offers a quiet, relaxing home away from home to unwind after a day at work, visiting family or exploring the area. Since this building was built as a two flat, safety consideration was incorporated in original design. There are two interior staircases that lead to the outside, as well as a mounted fire extinguisher in stairway, and one on each floor. This is in addition to carbon monoxide/fire detectors in each bedroom and living room areas. Additionally, the police and fire stations are within 3 blocks. The name of our historic home, Rivendell, comes from JR Tolkien. Tolkien described Rivendell as a place where the virtue of the land was that soon all fear and anxiety was lifted from minds. The future, good or ill, was not forgotten, but ceased to have any power over the present. Health and hope grew strong and all were content with each good day as it came, taking pleasure in every meal, and in every word and song - One garage parking spot and one driveway parking spot are available. If you do not have a car, the commuter rail to all Northshore and Chicago locations is within just a couple blocks walk. As a host I prefer to give you privacy and keep my involvement to a minimum.
