The west gate to Yellowstone is typically closed from November 15 until December 15 to prepare for the over snow season. The over snow travel season for Yellowstone typically runs December 15th until Mach 15th. The west gate to Yellowstone is then closed again from the closing day of over snow travel until April 15th to prepare for the summer season.
