Gabriola Arts Suite 1: Private entrance and room

The room is located in a family home near the ferry and village, surrounded by nature. The room has its own private entrance located on the first floor in a quiet neighbourhood at the front of the house. It is a 20 min. walk or three minute drive to our village Centre and Farmers Market (Saturday May-Oct) There are many trails to hike, golf, quaint pubs, modern restaurants and friendly people. You are sure to find something unique to take home locally made. There is plenty of parking in the driveway. The room has all new furnishings, clean, comfortable and modern. The room is equipped with a mini fridge, basic dishes, coffee maker, kettle and television to make your stay more comfortable. The room has its own private entrance and porch with seating area to have your morning coffee while listening to the birds. I will respond to messages within the hour normally. There is a lockbox for convenient check in after 3 pm. I live on the property and please feel free to message upon arriving and I will come down and say hello as I live on the top floor. If staying more than one night, please leave any dishes you would like washed on the porch by 11 am. As well if you would like new towels please leave any that are dirty on the porch. If you need more coffee etc please leave the empty containers on the porch. There are waste containers on the left side of the house. Feel free to use them or put your waste / recyclables on the porch with your dishes etc. I will leave the clean items on the porch or inside your room weather depending. Close trail nearby to walk to the village which is a 20 minute hike where you will find a modern coffee shop, diner, fine dinning restaurant, jeweller, organic market, gift shop, ice cream, library, grocery store, drugstore, liquor store, multiple clothing stores, bank, gas station and much more. It is a 3-4 minute drive. It is a quiet no thru road so very quiet neighborhood. One can walk to the B and B on foot from the ferry in about 45 minutes including a large hill so may not work for all travellers. We also have a bus and taxi. The operating hours are not frequent. There are kayaking rentals, three beautiful provincial parks with nice beaches to swim which can be accessed by car or bus in 10 to 15 minutes. There are playgrounds within walking distance at the village as well as tennis courts. Water 💧 is potable. We have a septic system here so the only thing that can go down the toilet is toilet paper. No tissues or tampons, or hair. It will clog up the septic system and ruin it. Please don’t run the water 💦 unnecessarily as rainwater is our ONLY source of water. We conserve water by only flushing the toilet when necessary, taking shorter showers 🚿 putting water in a cup to brush teeth instead of letting the faucet run. There is no municipal water system on Gabriola Island. We are on rainwater collection and being conservative with water is a part of island living. Everything helps😁 ⏰ Also quiet time after 9:30 pm. Please keep TV levels / conversations low so other occupants can enjoy their space and rest too.
