Private, modern, and cozy cottage in the heart of the Worcester range. A perfect retreat for those looking for artistic inspiration, or for outdoor enthusiasts. Our cottage is a quiet sanctuary to get away from it all, with hiking and snowshoeing right from our backyard. Only 20 mins to Vermont's capital, Montpelier with lots of great food and sites to offer. Cottage with galley kitchen, living room, bedroom, and 1 1/2 baths. Our two decks are perfect for birdwatching, stargazing, and enjoying our incredible sunrises. Amenities include a record player & collection, Bluetooth speaker, a fire pit, outdoor hammock in the warm season, wifi (rural DSL - see note below), our quirky library, selection of kids' toys, and books, and basic pantry items. Plenty of room for a couple or small family. Grill, swimming tubes, snowshoes, and Pack 'n Play are all available upon request. Pet friendly however please let us know details in advance. The cottage is located on our 10-acre property with its own private driveway. Access is by dirt road so 4wd or snow tires are highly recommended in the winter months. There is a trail down to a pond on our property that's great for dogs to cool off in. Local hiking trails and our pond right out the backdoor. Trails to the Worcester peaks and swimming holes within a ten-minute drive. The northeast's best skiing, mountain biking, and breweries, all under an hour. Our guest guidebook is full of local recommendations, maps, and resources. Cottage, private drive, front and back yard area. We live next door so are generally around if needed but do give our guests space. My husband Mark is an outdoor enthusiast and a bit of a foodie. We are available to offer additional services such as guided outdoor, food &beverage tours. Megan is an artist working in various mediums including florals. Custom floral arrangement? Stocked outdoor picnic upon arrival? Beautiful candlelit romantic dinner for two? Outdoor campfire feast? Micro wedding celebration? We like to get creative so feel free to bring ideas. We also have a barn photography studio filled with props available for shoots. Reach out for more details. Our internet is a rural DSL connection. It’s fine for email, web browsing, and light streaming. But do not expect it to handle heavy video conferencing and I wouldn’t recommend scheduling a ‘career critical’ zoom call while staying with us. We are taking extra steps to ensure the safety of our guests including cleaning by CDC standards as well as vetting guests to make sure they are respectful of current travel restrictions. Due to the increased cleaning protocols, we are not able to offer late checkout.
