Garden Cottage nestled on 10 acre farm

The Garden Cottage is centrally located in the Piedmont area of NC, being only 5 miles from Elon University, within 5 miles to most of Burlington area shopping and restaurants, 1.5 miles to I-85/40, 15 miles to Greensboro, 28 miles to High Point and 37 miles to Chapel Hill. The Cottage has just recently been renovated and equipped with all the conveniences of home. Enjoy your time visiting and exploring the areas around our location. Hope to see you soon! This darling cottage has a living room, recently remodeled, fully equipped kitchen, a large master bedroom with sitting area , a full bath with shower, a walk-in closet and a private screened-in porch. All is yours, during your stay. We respect your privacy but are always available if you have needs, question or concerns. Just call, text, email, or knock on our door! Our home and 10 acres is located 1/2 mile off of Hwy. 70 and was originally the center of a large horse farm called the Pondorosa. It was the location of many rodeos and horse shows and, probably a lot of horse trading. The Garden cottage was originally the maid's quarters and consisted of a bedroom and half bath. We left it as storage (no maids!) for many years until my mother had need to move closer to family. At that time, we completely renovated and enlarged to get basically what we have now. After her death, it remained unused until 2018 when Ben and I decided to make it a guest house or Airbnb. Our home was definitely considered rural when we moved here in 1977, but now we are surrounded by suburbia. We still, however, remain rural and tranquil despite the influx of the neighborhoods around us. Parking for cottage on left side of main home. The swimming pool is located in our back yard, between our home and the Garden Cottage. It is private to our property and you will be sharing with our family. It is opened seasonally and is not heated. When open, the cottage guests are welcome to enjoy. No individuals visiting guests of the Garden Cottage are allowed use of the pool.
