Ashokan reservoir retreat

25 to 30 minutes to 2 different mountains for skiing hunter mountain and Bellearye mountain. Cozy barn style home features kitchen with stainless steel appliances including fridge, dishwasher, gas range, and washer/dryer. high speed internet with WiFi. Recently added a small jacuzzi. There are 2 other homes on this property but both are vacant at this time. Host lives a short distance from the home and will be available at all times. This house is directly across from the Ashokan reservoir and just minutes from the Ashokan rail trail with beautiful mountain/reservoir. Located just 15 minutes from The historical towns of Woodstock, and 20 minute from historic uptown Kingston the original capital of NY. Home is just minutes from the famous Peekamoose blue hole swimming area. With unlimited hiking trails and some of the best fishing areas in all of New York this is a perfect getaway if you love being outdoors and enjoying the fresh mountain air. Fishing is allowed in the reservoir but you will have to acquire a free permit for each individual and also a parking pass if you wish to drive to a different location otherwise you can just walk across the street and down a short trail straight to the reservoir. Swimming is absolutely not permitted in the reservoir only fishing and hiking around the reservoir This location will require a vehicle to get around . There is a small mercantile and sandwich shop called Martys mercantile just a short walk away. Grocery store, gas station, and pharmacy are roughly 3 miles from the home.
