Beautiful Cottage on Northern Lake George

This open and airy 4 BR cottage with 2 full baths, den, and large screened porch is the perfect roomy place for your getaway on northern Lake George. 3.3 miles from the Barn at Lord Howe Valley. Typically, 7 day min but more flexible in September. There is also a large lawn for lawn games. Walk right to the Nature Conservancy Cooks Mountain Trailhead for an invigorating hike and great views of Lake George and Lake Champlain. Please contact us if you need a dock space for a motor boat. One bathroom has a full bathtub and a new washer and dryer. The second tiled bathroom has a large shower. The cottage was renovated two years ago. All rooms have fans and ceiling fans to keep you cool on warm days. While the house has no air conditioning, you will want to spend time outside in the water and the shade looking at the great scenery. The waterfront is shallow and "safe" for supervised children. If you will need to work on vacation, the den has a large desk along one wall. There is another work table in the loft. Both work areas have fabulous views and the internet is reliable. Kids will love the fourth bedroom with a cozy low ceiling, and views of the Lake out the dormer. The nearby hikes have amazing views. Check out Cook Mountain within 0.25 miles of the house. Guests have access to the entire property. We will be available via text and phone. This is a residential vacation area for visitors and full-time residents. You may also see animal residents such as deer and fox. In Ticonderoga, you will be interested in viewing the Fort and the Star Trek Museum. There is also a town beach. Other nearby places to visit are Hague (15 mins), Bolton Landing (35 mins) and Middlebury , VT (45 mins) and Vergennes, VT (30 mins). There is Amtrak train service from NY City to Ticonderoga, NY once a day. The train stop is a 10-minute drive to the cottage. No fireworks may be set off from this property. Use window and ceiling fans to cool off on those rare hot days. (No air conditioning)
