Sleep to the sound of the beautiful McKenzie River in the Ouzel Nest, our warm riverfront cedar cabin. Bring everyone ! 3 bedrooms, 4 beds, 2 bath. Earthy and calming inside. Make beautiful meals with the wild mushrooms and rainbow trout you just caught in our well equipped kitchen. Watch river otter slip into the water while you enjoy your morning coffee on the screened porch with sunlight filtering down through the branches of old growth fir trees. Rafting, hiking, & hot springs await! The Ouzel Nest is a well crafted little cabin - yellow pine walls and ceilings, warm red fir floors, trim and doors, you are surrounded by the rich warmth of wood. Eat at the 6 person dining table inside or dine al fresco on the screened porch facing the river. The beds are incredibly comfortable - pair that with the river song and you will sleep like a baby. Sink into big cozy Stickley chairs by the river stone fireplace to read or watch some movies on the flat screen TV. Enjoy the super fast cable internet for work or pleasure. The kitchen has every cooking implement you might need to make a large gourmet meal - or cook outside on the grill. You have full use of the cabin and the river front grounds of the Log Cabin Inn. We are available by phone/text and have someone local to help you in a pinch. The Ouzel Nest is located in the Log Cabin Inn - a community of little cedar cabins with huge old growth douglas firs, lovely landscaping and a communal riverfront. A short walk away is a general store with a restaurant and beer garden that has outdoor movies and live music on the weekend as well as an excellent menu and delicious espresso drinks to go. Other delicious restaurants are a short drive away. The cabin is only three miles from the famous McKenzie River trail with its topaz waters framed by a kaleidoscope of green mosses. You can also easily drive to two different hot springs. We are also happy to direct you to some stunning swimming holes on the Blue River just down the road. There are also an abundance of other trails nearby as well as the Three Sister's Wilderness and Sisters, Or a 50 minute drive away. You will need a car or some strong biking legs to get to the Ouzel Nest. There are places to eat walking distance.
