This fully furnished studio apartment is in a 1860s, owner occupied townhouse, located in the historic district of Beacon Hill. It is smack dab in the center of Boston, just two blocks to the Boston Common and Public Garden, and equal distance to the Charles River Esplanade. The studio is dedicated to short-term rentals i.e. the closets and such are empty, but cooking equipment and linens are complete. It is an amazingly quiet room and also sunny. There are two flights of stairs, see photo. You will be steps away from the bustle and vibrancy of Charles St., Beacon Hill's main shopping street, on which there are excellent restaurants of various Zagat ratings (and costs), boutiques, art galleries, jewelry stores, gift stores, bakeries, cafes, small food stores, dry cleaners with laundry services, shoe repair, florists, chocolate/nut store, and the such. There is a Whole Foods within one-half mile, two small boutique food stores on Charles Street, more coffee shops than one could possibly consume coffee (two Starbucks, one DD, a Peets and several excellent indies), a well-stocked drug store with friendly service, and a hardware store (honored with Best in the USA award) with equally cordial service and a multiplicity of supplies. The Back Bay is close by with more than enough places to spend lots of money. Now that you have walked all day, you will be pleased to find a day spa/yoga classes across the street! Still have energy? Go for a run along the Charles River, grab a bike from the convenient bike share location, kayak on the Charles, or in the winter ice skate on the Common. Boston's excellent subway system, the MBTA is affectionately known as the T. In less than a ten-minute leisurely walk you are at the Red Line's MGH/Charles St T station, or through the Public Garden to the Green Line's Arlington St T station, and both the Orange and Blue lines are equally as assessable by foot. In a word: location. The studio is small size, as are most Beacon Hill apartments, but has all the amenities that you need, including for staying in and cooking. The shower measures 30" X 30". One guest, from South America, thought it very small, while the next guest, from NYC, thought it not. Hopefully, for you, it is 'just right.' Because this apartment is dedicated to my personal guests and short-term rentals you will find the closet empty. No need to push over my personal belongings! The kitchenette and bathroom are fully supplied with everything you will need. There is: WiFi; TV with cable; room air conditioner; coffee makers; free lending library; hard wood floors with oriental carpets; photographs and paintings along with other decorations to make you feel at home.
