Welcome to Clear Lake escape situated in Muskoka. Our cottage is on flat land, tucked away in a private bay. The property has 100 ft of waterfront with shallow entry which is great for children or wading in the sun. The water is so clear – it is great for snorkeling, fishing and best of all swimming. The main cottage features 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a full kitchen, a large great room and a screened in eating area for those hot summer nights with a cool breeze. Afternoon sun is a real bonus! Newly refreshed - you will be comfortable and cozy at Clear Lake escape. It’s bigger than it looks and all our guests have said pictures do not do it justice. Just take off your shoes and relax in this serene cottage with spectacular lake views. Entrance is right off the parking area - door has a lock code which will be provided 48 hours in advance of check in There is an owners Bunkie located on the property which is not part of the cottage rental and is locked with the owners items inside. We are directly across the lake at our family cottage should you need anything. Walk to the Cottage wood fire pizza place and clear lake brewery! Short drive to The town of Bala and Gravenhurst. Muskoka Lakes Fires are permitted one hour before sunset, please check local fire restrictions. Do not leave campfires unattended and make sure they are fully extinguished before retiring for the evening. Use a bucket of lake water to put your fire out (one will be located right by the firepit). Feel free to use fallen branches and twigs for kindling. We provide each guest with one-night free firewood. - Canoeing/Paddle boarding o Always wear lifejacket(s) when out on the water. When finished please return the canoe/paddle board to where you got it from. Do not drag the watercraft over abrasive or hard surfaces. - Fishing o Fish off the dock or take out the canoe. Please check fishing and licensing regulations. - Exploring/Walking/Hiking o Harding Lake (about 3km towards Gravenhurst on 169) has beautiful trails of some 15km o The Torrance Barrens (south on Southwood Rd about 8KM) are a great place for hiking or star gazing - The Cottage restaurant and Clear Lake Brewery is walking distance at the corner of Clear Lake Rd. and Southwood 13 - Bala is a small town nearby with all your essential needs (~7 min drive) - Gravenhurst is a bigger town with more selection (~20 min drive) - Port Carling is a cute little town with great restaurants and little shops (~25 min drive) Thank you for staying at the Clear Lake escape and we hope to have you stay with us again soon.
