Private efficiency apartment with loft bed in the heart of historic Marietta, PA. This apartment is close to everything there is to do in Marietta and also a great central location for anyone traveling to Hershey, York, Lancaster or Harrisburg. You will have full access to the efficiency apartment which includes it's own bathroom and a small kitchen. The apartment is 100% private! ***PLEASE READ PARKING INSTRUCTIONS, IT IS ON STREET PARKING ONLY*** On our immediate street there is metered parking only. It runs Monday-Saturday 9am-5pm and only 25 cents/2 hours). One block parallel to us is Front Street where there is always free street parking*** The kitchen includes a induction cooktop. It has 2 burners and is great for cooking a meal. *There is no oven included* just the cooktop but we have all the kitchen essentials which include a minifridge/freezer, an assortment of kitchen utensils, pots/pans, toaster, coffee maker and microwave. We love meeting our guests but we also understand that some prefer their privacy. We live on the premises in the main house, so we are always available if our guests need anything. Marietta, PA is a very small and safe town. Marietta is an old train town that lies right along the Susquehanna river which features the Northwest river trail (a great place for biking or walking). Marietta is a small town but it is not boring in the least! Marietta features many highly acclaimed restaurants and bars. Most of which feature live music every weekend and some weekdays too. Within driving distance to many attractions and day trip destinations in the area Lancaster city (20 minutes) Harrisburg (40 minutes) York (25 minutes) Baltimore, MD (1 hour) Philadelphia, PA (1.5 hours) Gettysburg, PA (1 hour) Nearby Attractions... Hershey Park, Spooky Nook Sports Complex, Dutch Wonderland, Tanger Outlets, Ski RoundTop, Park City Mall, various antique shops, various Amish tourist attractions, Fulton Theatre, American Music Theatre, Chiques Rock, Northwest River Trail, Long's Park, Lancaster Central Market, Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre, Elizabethtown College, Millersville University, Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster Science Factory, Wheatland (President James Buchanan's home) and Clipper Magazine Stadium to name a few.. The Lancaster Amtrak station is approximately a 25 minute drive away. Uber is available if you plan to travel out of Marietta. Otherwise, Marietta is an extremely walkable town. ***Parking****: On our immediate street there is metered parking only, but we will pay for it! It runs Monday-Saturday 9am-5pm and only 25 cents/2 hours. We provide a take some/leave some change dish which guests can use for parking, but it's up to guests to feed the meters. There is also free parking one block parallel to us on Front Street. We find that there is almost always close by spots on our immediate street. The TV includes Netflix, Hulu and Sling TV. We don't have cable TV, but the sling TV app allows you to watch most popular TV channels. There are 50+ channels included. The window AC unit is also a heater. We find this is PLENTY to keep the apartment very warm (or cool) and guests can adjust it to their liking. At the risk of turning guests away, please note that Marietta is an old train town and trains still run along the river. They can be heard in the distance from the apartment. Most guests are unbothered by the trains and some find them charming. But if you are an extra light sleeper, Marietta may not be the town for you.
