The Treehouse is a place where magic happens. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a family vacation or both. Sleep amongst the trees on a 7 acre 1825 farm. Meet Whirly, Gig and Belle. Find all 7, fairy houses. Go on a treasure hunt. Poke about our paths or explore the Airline trail, just off the property. S’mores, campfires, ghost stories and more. Meet our chickens. Spot deer, ducks or “Blue”, our resident blue heron. Adventure is in the air at the Hollow. Or nap in the hammock. All the pleasures of camping with a real bed, AC and internet. You can use the camping toilet in the tree house or a real full PRIVATE bathroom 30 feet from the treehouse. Bring your own food or try a full range of restaurants in the area. Forgot your food I can provide smores or a campfire meal (for a reasonable fee) A rough cooking area Includes a mini fridge and electric grill. Free Parking on site. Michael Underhill has spent most of his career designing toys, now he’s designed a vacation. Providing an environment where the setting encourages unique interactions between love ones, was his goal. And there’s plenty of fun surprises, like a periscope, hidden messages, talking artwork and more. Michael will be available most of the time, subject to errands and farm work. Did you see him hiding in one of the photos. Alecia Underhill has worked at RISD for years interacting with a unique collection of creatives. Her own artwork spans the glory of the natural world. While you are here you can tour her studio, pick out the perfect painting or do some plein-air painting. The quiet corner of Connecticut is full of fun hiking experiences. We'd love to share our favorite places. Putnam is a center of antiquing. There are a wide range of eating establishments, from cozy and cheap to posh and expensive. There are two lake beaches within a 5 minute drive. Plus the ocean is just an hour away. If you grow tired of the country life, Boston , Providence and Hartford are just an hour plus away. free on site parking Due to Covid, we are asking guests to provide their own Pillows , linens, Towels, and Blankets. This way you know they are clean. If this is a problem I can provide linens and Towels for an additional $20
