The Kolts at Camp Chet (994 forested acres!)

If you are looking for an off-grid and quiet cabin in the forest with miles of private hiking trails, we have just the place. The Kolts cabin has 3 full size mattresses. The Kolts is adjacent to a wet weather waterfall and close to a picnic table, grill, and an outhouse shared between cabins as well as a pavilion that is great for meals or a hammock spot under roof. Make sure to bring your own water as utilities are not available onsite. (There is no electricity or potable water) The cabin sleeps up to 6 on 3 double mattresses, but there is also plenty of room for additional guests to pitch a tent or hang hammocks for a fee per night. We have a small propane heater available. You will need to bring your own Coleman disposable propane cylinders if you want to make use of it. Expect to use between 1 and 2 cylinders per night depending on temperature. We have other camp spots with more being added so be sure to check out our other listings and website for updates and more photos. Your cabin is private, but there is a shared gathering space with a covered pavilion, 2 picnic tables, large fire pit, grill and outhouse. We offer a remote private area but if a need should arise we are only a phone call and a short UTV drive away. We also offer a $30 UTV tour of the property for up to 4 people for one hour. This is a great way to preview areas you may want to hike to later or allow those that are unable to hike some of our steep slopes to see more of the camp. Please schedule with Camp Manager. The camp area is secluded and on top of a mountain. The address is only an approximation of the campsite. We will guide you to the location at check-in. Be prepared to drive on a rough gravel/dirt road for about a mile and half to reach the cabins. You will be most comfortable in a vehicle that is suitable for rugged terrain. Day trips less than an hour away include the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga, Rock City, Ruby Falls, Nickajack Lake and Bat Cave among many others. Come to hike, relax, bike, explore, and recharge. We have nearly 1000 acres of Tennessee forest with wet weather creeks to hike and explore with only the wildlife for neighbors! Our check-in-time is between 2:00 - 6:00 pm cst. Because of it's secluded location, there is no exact address and we will meet you at our house/camp office and have you follow us into camp. Yes, pets are allowed at Camp Chet. We do love and welcome fur babies! However, due to the allergies of future guests and the extra cleaning that must done, there is a pet fee of $20 that is separate from the cleaning fee. Please prevent them from getting on the bed or any furniture. Do not leave your pet alone in the cabin. Please either take them with you or if you need to leave them behind, please travel with a crate.
