WELCOME TO CAPE GUINEVERE AT BAXTER LAKE Enjoy this fantastic lake house in New Hampshire! Surrounded by trees and nature, Cape Guinevere is the perfect retreat for a peaceful getaway with scenic beauty everywhere you look. Centrally located at Baxter Lake, Cape Guinevere is about 30 minutes from both Portsmouth and Lake Winnipesaukee, and Gunstock Mountain, Loudon, Laconia, Ogunquit, Kennebunkport, Wolfeboro, Concord, Newburyport, Manchester, and Hampton Beach are all within 1 hour. Cape Guinevere is situated on two floors above ground, with almost 2,000 square feet of comfortable living space. 4 bedrooms (3 queen beds, 2 twin beds), 2.5 bathrooms, a full kitchen with plenty of utensils and kitchenware, a giant table that seats 10, and outdoor seating on our sectional that seats 7, and outdoor dining table that seats 6. We have hosted a full Thanksgiving dinner at Cape Guinevere for 14 people, and everything turned out great! Cape Guinevere is across the street from Baxter Lake and about a 5 minute walk along a quiet and safe private road to the beachfront. From here, you can swim, launch kayaks, launch a boat, or just enjoy the views. We are located right on the town line of Farmington and Rochester, and you will find plenty of amenities 15 minutes away by car in Rochester (large grocery stores, Home Depot, Lowe's, restaurants, gas stations, services, etc.) Baxter Lake was named the #1 Best New Hampshire Lake by VacationIdea Magazine, calling it "arguably one of NH's best kept secrets!" You will need a car to get to Cape Guinevere, but thankfully, we have plenty of parking for 6 cars. Once there, you can walk or bike up and down the street. You will also see people riding ATVs, motorcycles, or snowmobiles, depending upon the season. Cape Guinevere is the perfect four-season home, with great insulation and heating for the winter, and central A/C for the summer.
