Darling Cottage in the Topinabee Woods

This adorable cottage in the woods is the perfect place to get away from the hustle & bustle & enjoy all that Northern Michigan has to offer. Nestled in the little town of Topinabee, you'll be in between two of Michigan’s most beautiful lakes. Bring your boat & explore the Inland Water Way. Mackinaw City is a short drive away & a visit to the island is a must. If you prefer dry ground, explore the vast trail system or the area golf courses. A perfect location to enjoy all seasons. One bedroom, one bath, with a full kitchen & dining area. Living room has a twin size bed which can be used for an extra guest, or young children. The garage in the photo is not included with rental. Spend some time outside and enjoy the beautiful flowers on the property, or a walk in the woods. You will have the interior of the cottage to yourselves. It is not a shared space. The attached garage is not included with the rental & it (garage) may need to be accessed from time to time but your privacy will be respected. There is a second home on the property that is not part of the rental. We will be available via text or phone during your stay and will be happy to give recommendations and / or directions to area attractions. There is another home on the property that is occupied. They are not the contact for the rental, but they are the ones who may supply you with fresh homemade cookies! Topinabee is a small town but it has everything you'll need. The Noka boasts they make the world's best pancakes. The Breakers is a restaurant / bar & The Topinabee Market serves as a party store with a deli & pizza. There is a beautiful beach & a public boat launch for Mullet Lake enjoyment. You can even rent a pontoon boat or jet ski right without leaving town. For the golfers in the group, you will find multiple courses a little bit farther away. If your'e up for a challenge you can canoe / kayak the Sturgeon River. Tubing is a little easier for those not up to the challenge. We are located a short distance from I-75, exit 313. Centrally located to go tubing / kayaking on the Sturgen River, swimming at Burt Lake, Mullet Lake, Lake Huron & Lake Michigan. The Cross in the Woods is also a beautiful spot to visit while in town. While the cottage does have WiFi, it is pretty useless. Our options are very limited due to our location. Do not count on it working. There is a library & restaurant with better WiFi in town if you have a project that must be completed during your stay.
