King (red) bedroom close to lake and mountains!

Rent a room in our large, welcoming, comfortably furnished and clean home with access to kitchen, dining room, sitting room, living room. This room has a king size four poster canopy bed and small settee. Your stay Thursday through Sunday will include one voucher per person for a breakfast special at Foote’s Port Henry diner. An hour from Lake George, Lake Placid, Plattsburgh and Burlington. Great lake views from the home and very close to Port Henry beach. This is our second home. Sometimes we are at the home at the same time as guests and sometimes we aren't. Guests have use of the rented bedroom plus kitchen, dining room and living rooms. There is a beautiful porch with Lake views. It's a very comfortable spot to have morning coffee or an evening drink. The home has a very relaxed feel. It's a take your shoes off and grab a cozy blanket kind of home. Guests will have access to a SHARED bathroom. We ask that you keep your personal belongings in your bedroom when you are not using the bathroom. There are hooks in each room to hang your towels in between use. There are long term tenants in other bedrooms who will be sharing the common areas of the home. If you are only booking one room, there is a chance that you may also be sharing the bathroom and common areas with other AirBnB guests as well as tenants. We are available based on the desire of the guests. The home is our second home so sometimes we are there at the same time as guests and sometimes we aren't there. I love to cook so if we are at the home and guests are present, we offer the guest a home cooked meal and socialization. If the guest prefers their own space and privacy, we remain available. We are available 24/7 on via cell phone. The house is located on a dead end street that is pretty quiet with great lake views. Within a 5 minute walk, there are a few great restaurants. Foote's diner is excellent for breakfast and lunch, they are closed on Monday and Tuesday and close at 2pm the rest of the week. Within a 5 minute walk, there is a Stewart’s, the red brick inn restaurant, Post office, library, Chinese restaurant, pharmacy and a liquor store. Being a small town, the shops do tend to close fairly early. There is a 24 hour super Walmart about a 20 minute drive away. Camping amenities also close by. Great location for ice fishing. Close to many great Adirondack hiking trails and Lake Champlain. The public beach in Port Henry is very nice and features a swimming area and playground. The home is a half mile from the Port Henry Amtrak Station, less than a 10 minute walk. There is no other public transportation close by. It is strongly recommended that you have a vehicle to get around if you plan on leaving the town. Price is per room per night. Maximum of 2 people per room. Infants or a child 2 and under will not be counted. We do have a bassinet/pack and play available upon request. Rooms are for rent by the day or week. We have children that may or may not be present at the time of rental. Again, there are other long-term tenants who rent bedrooms. We also rent other bedrooms through Airbnb so unless you have specifically rented all 3 available rooms through Airbnb, there may also be other Airbnb guests in another rooms sharing the bathroom and common areas.
