The charming Savannah House in Brooksville

An old Florida house has been transformed into the Savannah House in Brooksville, FL, inspired by the houses, brick patios and garden charms of historic Savannah, GA. On a brick street in a residential area of historic downtown, this three bedroom, two and a half bath home is charming, comfortable, inviting and peaceful. Beautiful features inside and out will provide ample space to spread out and enjoy a restful space from which to explore the Nature Coast and Central Florida. Built in the late 1890's this charming house has beautiful heart-pine hardwood floors, lots of character, and, all the modern conveniences. It has three bedrooms and two and a half baths, a living room, dining and kitchen, a sunroom, and, three porches on which you can kick back and relax. The blue bedroom downstairs has a queen bed and an ensuite bathroom with a shower.  The upstairs has a peach bedroom with a king bed, a green bedroom with a queen bed, and, a bathroom with a shower. The many outdoor bricked patio areas with seating allow plenty of places to enjoy the view of the garden, the front fountain and the outdoors. You will be the only guests on the property and have access to the whole space. There are two locked closets for storage of supplies & linens. You will receive the door code to allow yourself entry to the house. We live nearby and will be available by phone, text or even a visit if needed. Otherwise, enjoy the property on your own. (For guests who stay for longer periods we may need to water plants or do some yard maintenance; we will advise you when we will do this and try to work around your schedule so as not to disturb you.) Located just 2 blocks from Main St, Brooksville and several cafe's, a coffee shop, tennis courts, children's play area in the park, the library and the old historic area of town, one can enjoy walking around the old brick streets lined with large moss-covered oaks. Many restaurants, grocery stores and conveniences are within a mile. Weeki Wachee State Park, World Woods golf course, the Withlacoochee bike trail, some small beach parks, and, many local attractions are within 10 - 15 miles. The large themed parks, including Disney World, and Tampa/St Petersburg are all within an hour and a half. The National Cemetery in Bushnell is just a 20 minute drive away. Others have found the Savannah House a comforting respite while visiting the cemetery. If you are arriving by plane, the best airport is the Tampa airport (TPA - an hour away). Orlando airport (MCO) is about an hour and a half. There is standard cable service and also many apps to use your own accounts on Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc as well as free apps.
